Take it or leave it, it's what you're owed
Not okay, uh
He could make you think you're someone else
Headaches, always, always, uh

Something to hold onto
While you change all you do for a place
Yeah, uh
Take it or leave it, it's what you’re owed
Not okay, uh, uh, uh

Choose to ignore blues
Something to get in your way, uh
You choose to stay (You choose to stay)
You choose to stay (Oh)

Nauseas and feeling so weak
Can't smoke if I do not eat
Knees weak at 33
Late nights, but don't text me
Swallow, but want to scream
I want the lifestyle for free

Choose to ignore blues
Something to get in your way, uh
You choose to stay (You choose to stay)
You choose to stay (You choose to stay)
You choose to stay (Oh)

I want the lifestyle for free
I want the pussy for free
An arm around me to grieve
A sleep, without sweat and me
My self doubts in a tweet
My mood rests on coffee
Try to understand me
Try to understand me
Nauseas and feeling so weak
Can't smoke if I do not eat
Knees weak at 33
Late nights, but don't text me
Swallow, but want to scream
I want the lifestyle for free

Blood Orange

Blood Orange is the funk/R&B project of musician Devonté Hynes, formally known under the pseudonym Lightspeed Champion.

He released his debut album Coastal Grooves in 2011. Cupid Deluxe followed in 2013, an R&B infused LP that ranked 69th by Pitchfork in the top albums of the decade. He released his third project Freetown Sound in June 2016, which reached number 10 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-hop charts and received an aggregate review score of 82 on Metacritic.

Blood Orange’s music is characterized by funky grooves mixed with falsetto vocals and catchy melodies. He also uses complex and introspective lyrics, which are often misinterpreted.
