[Verse 1: Polo G]
Dive headfirst, deep in that water like Michael Phelps
Keep lettin' that lead burst, he just want bodies under his belt
Pills got his mind twisted, he ain't actin' like his self
They don't know what's goin' on inside, we cryin' out for help
Standin' in these streets so long, so much anxiety I felt
I gave you all of me, how I'm supposed to love somebody else?
She just want likes on the 'Gram and new designer off the shelf
Lord, it's so many questions, why I got the hand that I was dealt?
Please forgive me for my foolishness, I hope you understand
I just pray that I stay humble, every loss made me a man

[Chorus: Clever & G Herbo]
Took a loss, took a life, we was all in
Put our life on the line, we was all in
Took some losses but we ballin'
Got the racks up, we ain't fallin' down
Throw some racks up, they keep fallin'
Took some losses but we ballin'
God's children, but we all sin
Shawtys hot, like they in Austin (Uh)
They saw bosses when we walked in (G Herbo)

[Verse 2: G Herbo]
How many times a day you scroll on IG and see dead niggas? (Dead niggas)
One of your niggas dead (One of your niggas dead)
Or the nigga you could of had (Fuck, fuck)
Type of shit make you wanna leave the house, one in the head (One in the head)
Same reason he ain't gon' leave the house, 'cause that nigga scared (Pussy)
We can't even get 'em, he scared
Glocks stay on my lil' nigga, he wit' it
Lot of niggas too friendly, I'm takin' his temperature
Can't get up with him, he feds
I don't show haters love, I keep that to a minimum, now I don't shake any hands
On the net, he was grinnin' like some type of killer
When we get up with him, he fans (Fanned out)
Lil' couple milli', he ran up (Uh)
Used to be good with some bands (Uh, uh)
Pulled up dolo to pick up the cash and I'm up
I ain't even need none of my friends
Posted up on Essex, 7 a.m., we was off of Xans (Off Xans)
Now we got hoes at 7 a.m. in the loft, slayin' 'em
I heard for that bitch, you would cross your mans
Can't hang with us, he off-brand
Everybody real great from the sideline
Why I don't ever see y'all play?
Why y'all gon' dick ride niggas then don't support any one nigga suppose to be y'all mans
Me and my niggas with all that, we kept 'em all, shit, they gon' have to try us all then
And ain't not one of my niggas gon' sellout, gon' have to buy us all then
Under that water there's some shit in, I can not give in, just got to break all the laws then
Stay out that water unless you ready to swim with grown men

[Chorus: Clever]
Took a loss, took a life, we was all in
Put our life on the line, we was all in
Took some losses but we ballin'
Got our racks up, we ain't fallin' down
Throw some racks up, they keep fallin'
Took some losses but we ballin'
God's children, but we all sin
Shawtys hot, like they in Austin
They saw bosses when we walked in
They saw bosses when we walked in

Joshua “Josh” Tyler Huie (b. July 8, 1985), known as Clever, is an American singer-songwriter, rapper and recording artist hailing from Gadsden, Alabama.

While he has been putting out mixtapes since ‘06, it was not until March 2019 that he got his big start featuring on late Chicago rapper Juice WRLD’s track “Ring Ring.” Later the same year, in May, he released the NLE Choppa collaboration “Stick By My Side,” which garnered him even more attention. After a successful Justin Bieber and Post Malone collaboration entitled “Forever,” Huie inked a deal with Republic Records in April 2020.

Clever currently has two upcoming projects; the solo album Crazy, set for a March 2021 release, and his collaborative effort with fellow Alabama native NoCap, The Clever Child, with the release date set sometime in the future.
