[Chorus: Dizzy Wright]
I apologize if I hurt you along the way (For real)
Self love is powerful, heard it's the only way (Word)
Self love is powerful, heard it's the only way (Word)
Drownin' in my thoughts, what if I lost it all today? (Nah)
Never slowin' down 'cause dues gotta be paid (Right)
Self love is powerful, heard it's the only way (Word)
Self love is powerful, heard it's the only way
That's the motivation I need to keep makin' plays

[Verse 1: Dizzy Wright]
All that energy got put in to keep us from education
Now I identify with them brothers locked in them cages
Yo, don't go back, that's a different way to enslave us
Pickin' up the path that my ancestors paved us
Nothin' to lose is the mindset we seem to move with
The world improve when they fill us with more confusion
We kill each other more than the KKK movement
Knowledge is power when you in that courtroom clueless
Crazy how I learned from all my brother mistakes
Carried all the traits 'cause the neighborhoods wasn't safe
I'll just move a little different and I'll be straight
But I could never prepare for the problems that I face
Eat better, drink water, think better
Feed the mind information, it's a spiritual invasion
No more moments with my confidence deflated
Is what I tell myself and I'm not renegotiating

[Chorus: Dizzy Wright]
I apologize if I hurt you along the way (For real)
Self love is powerful, heard it's the only way (Word)
Self love is powerful, heard it's the only way (Word)
Drownin' in my thoughts, what if I lost it all today? (Nah)
Never slowin' down 'cause dues gotta be paid (Right)
Self love is powerful, heard it's the only way (Word)
Self love is powerful, heard it's the only way
That's the motivation I need to keep makin' plays

[Verse 2: Mozzy]
Practicin' Islam just hopin' it make us better
Trapped inside these trenches, it's hopeless for us forever (Yeah)
Dad was on my sweater, that Beretta necessary (Ayy)
Too much for moms to bear and he too young for us to bury
Them caskets had to carry was mainey 'cause it was real life
He was just here now he layin' in that field, like
You seen 'em target blacks for the crack epidemic, real life
Them prisons only built for us niggas, this shit is still trife
It's real life, learn to love yourself, nigga, that's real love
The hatred never penetrate either, ain't no steel love
Old girl he fed his gang, already run through the and ones
Fuck who talkin' down, it ain't slowin' down, we still love
Drownin' in my thoughts, if I lost it, I'd probably kill somethin'
Self-inflicted pain, quit tootin' and poppin' pills, youngin'
Self love is power if you ain't never learned nothin' from us
Self love is power if you ain't never learned nothin' from us

[Chorus: Dizzy Wright]
I apologize if I hurt you along the way (For real)
Self love is powerful, heard it's the only way (Word)
Self love is powerful, heard it's the only way (Word)
Drownin' in my thoughts, what if I lost it all today? (Nah)
Never slowin' down 'cause dues gotta be paid (Right)
Self love is powerful, heard it's the only way (Word)
Self love is powerful, heard it's the only way
That's the motivation I need to keep makin' plays
