Gotta good reason
Were taking the easy way out
Gotta good reason
Were taking the easy way out

She was a daytripper, one way ticket, yeah
Took me so long to find out, I found out

Tried to please her
She only played when I can
Tried to please her
She only played when I can

She was a daytripper, one way ticket, yeah
Took me so long to find out, I found out

She was a teaser
She took me half the way there
She was a teaser
She took me half the way there

She was a daytripper, Sunday Driver, yeah
Took me so long to find out, I found out

Daytripper, One day for you, yeah
It took me so long to find, I found out

Daytripper, yeah
Daytripper, yeah
Daytripper, yeah
Daytripper, yeah
Daytripper, yeah
Daytripper, yeah
Daytripper, yeah
Daytripper, yeah
Daytripper, yeah

Electric Light Orchestra

Roy Wood, Jeff Lynne and Bev Bevan from Birmingham, England formed the progressive pop-rock band Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) in 1970, best known for their poppy, futuristic, and classical sound.

Roy Wood departed the band in 1972, and Jeff Lynne took over with writing and arranging as well as producing all their albums. During the 13 years when E.L.O. was most active, they sold 50 million, achieving 21 RIAA, 19 CRIA, and 38 BPI awards.
