[Verse 1]
Everybody gotta love each other
Throwin' spears at your sisters and your brothers
Man, it wasn't that long ago we were all living in the jungle
So why do we gotta-
Why do we gotta put each other down
When there's more than enough love to g-g-go around?

[Chorus]
Come to mama
Tell me who hurt ya
There's gonna be no future
If we don't figure this out

[Verse 2]
Dude in a lab coat and a man of God
Fought over prisms and a forty-day flood
Well, I say that rainbow did more than they've ever done
So why do we gotta
Why do we gotta fight over the spheres
When there's more than enough g-going on down here

[Chorus]
Come to mama
Tell me who hurt ya
There's gonna be no future
If we don't figure this out
Oh, come tomorrow
Who are you gonna follow?
Don't wanna see [?] higher
And never came down

[Verse 3]
Psychic stoner catches minnows in the harbor
Everyone tells him he should work a little harder
They all believe that freedom is a bitch
But baby, he's already got her
So why do we gotta
Gotta believe that there's only night more to live
The only prisons that exist are ones we put each other in

[Chorus]
Come to mama
Baby, tell me who hurt ya
There's gonna be no future
If we don't figure this out
Oh, come tomorrow
Who are they gonna follow?
Don't wanna see [?] higher
Oh, and never look down
Come to mama
Baby, tell me who hurt ya
There's gonna be no future
If we don't figure this out
Oh, come tomorrow
Who are they gonna follow?
Don't wanna see [?] higher
Oh, and never look down
Come to mama
Baby, tell me who hurt ya
There's gonna be no future
If we don't figure this out
Come tomorrow
Who are they gonna follow?
Don't wanna see [?] higher
Oh, and never look down
O woohoo-hoo
Come to mama
Baby, tell me who hurt ya
There's gonna be no future
If we don't figure this out
Oh, come tomorrow
Who are they gonna follow?
Don't wanna see-

Father John Misty

Born in Maryland, Josh Tillman dropped out of college to become a folk songwriter. Releasing several albums to minimal acclaim as J. Tillman, his big break came when he serendipitously became the drummer of Fleet Foxes just as they made it big.

In 2012, he left Fleet Foxes and began releasing music as Father John Misty, embracing his jovial, theatrical side with psychedelic rock music. He has since released four albums as Fear Fun, in 2012, a critically acclaimed sophomore album, I Love You, Honeybear, in 2015, and 2017’s Pure Comedy. On June 1st, 2018, he released his fourth God’s Favorite Customer.
