[Verse 1]
Taking a walk across the landmine
Changing the lock on every door
We only talk when it’s a bad time
Nothing is fair in love or war

[Pre-Chorus]
Don’t you look beautiful, crying (crying)
Isn't it comical, trying (trying)

[Chorus]
To keep it together when we’re not
Selling the words, we both forgot
Bridges are burning as we walk away (away)
Tryna remember what you lost
What it was worth and what it cost
Bridges are burning as we walk away (away, away)

[Verse 2]
Taking a drive along the train tracks
"Stayin' alive", turned up too loud
You’ll only survive me if you stay back
Keeping my head inside the clouds
Don’t I sound terrible saying (saying)
We’re incompatible
Why are you staying (why are you staying)

[Chorus]
Tryna keep it together when we're not
Selling the words, we both forgot
Bridges are burning as we walk away (away)
Tryna remember what you lost
What it was worth and what it cost
Bridges are burning as we walk away (away, away)

[Outro]
Taking a walk across the landmine
Changing the lock on every door

Finneas O'Connell (born July 30, 1997), also known as Finneas (stylized in all caps), is an American producer, songwriter, and musician, most famously known for writing and producing music for his sister, Billie Eilish.

Before his breakout as a musician, he was an actor with minor recurring roles in the popular TV shows Modern Family and Glee. He also starred in the 2011 film Bad Teacher and worked with his mother on the indie film Life Inside Out, and also recorded portions of the official soundtrack.

From 2012-2016, Finneas acted as the frontman of the LA-based, pop-rock group The Slightlys, which split before the release of his August 2016 track, “New Girl”.
