[Verse 1]
Thought I'd end up with him
But he wasn't a match
Wrote a song about
Now I listen and laugh
Probably never get married
But hey, who knows, maybe?
Wish I could say, thanks to my high school love
He really saved me

[Pre-Chorus]
One taught me love
One taught me patience
And one taught me pain
Now, I'm so amazing
Say I've loved and I've lost
But that's not what I see
Look what I got
Look what you taught me
And for that, I say

[Chorus]
Thank you, next
Thank you, next
Thank you, next
I'm so fuckin' grateful for my ex
Thank you, next
Oh, thank you, next
I'm so fuckin'—

[Verse 2]
One day I might be a wife
One day I might be a mama
I'll be thanking my dad
'Cause I grew from the drama
Only wanna my love soo bad
Gon' make that shit last
God forbid something happens
At least my life is a blast

[Pre-Chorus]
I've got so much love
Got so much patience
I've grew from the pain
And turned out amazing
I've loved and I've lost
That's not what I see
Look what I got
Look what you taught me
And for that, I say

[Outro]
Thank you, next
Oh, thank you, next
I'm so fuckin' grateful for my ex
