[Intro]
I can't use what I can't abuse
And I can't stop when it comes to you

[Verse 1]
You burned me out but I'm back at your door
Like Joan of Arc coming back for more

[Pre-Chorus]
I nearly died
I nearly died
I nearly died

[Chorus 1]
I came to cut you up
I came to knock you down
I came around to tear your little world apart
I came to shut you up
I came to drag you down
I came around to tear your little world apart
And break your soul apart

[Verse 2]
You burn and burn to get under my skin
You've gone too far now I won't give in
You crucified me but I'm back in your bed
Like Jesus Christ coming back from the dead

[Pre-Chorus]
I nearly died
I nearly died
I nearly died

[Chorus 2]
I came to knock you up
I came to cut you down
I came around to tear your little world apart
I came to rip you up
I came to shut you down
I came around to tear your little world apart
And break your soul apart

[Instrumental bridge]

[Pre-Chorus]
I nearly died
Oh, I nearly died
I nearly died

[Chorus 3]
I came to cut you up
I came to knock you down
I came around to tear your little world apart
I came to shut you up
I came to suck you down
I came around to tear your little world apart
Tear your little world apart
Tear your little world apart
And break your soul apart

[Outro]
I can't stop when it comes to you
I can't stop when it comes to you
When it comes to you
When it comes to you

[Live Ad-lib 1]
I feel upset, so let's do some celebrating
I feel upset, let's do some celebrating
'Cause every time I see your dick
I see her cunt in my bed
'Cause every time I see your dick
I see her cunt in my bed
You ain't gonna need no little boat
No, you ain't gonna need no little boat
'Cause you're living on my time, my dear

[Live Ad-lib 2]
The birds do it, the bees do it
So let's do it, let's fall in love
The birds do it, the bees do it
Even sentimental fools do it
So let's do it, let's fall in love
Just one more time
Just one more time for me
Just one more time, boys
Just one more time for me

[Live Ad-lib 3]
I need a lover, I don't need to love
I need a lover who's so drunk he cannot fuck
I need a lover, I don't need to love
I need a lover who's so drunk he cannot fuck
Oh-oh, they don't love you like I love you
Oh-oh, they don't love you like I love you
Oh-oh, they don't love you like I love you
Oh-oh, they don't love you like I love you
Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh

Garbage

Garbage is a Scottish-American Alternative rock band, formed April 8th 1994. Once producer Butch Vig decided to break out of the rock he had been producing ever since Nirvana’s Nevermind, he got together with his college/studio partners Duke Erikson and Steve Marker to write some demos that would basically be remixes in song form. Once someone commented that “it sounds like garbage”, Vig decided to embrace the name. Then they invited Scottish singer Shirley Manson after seeing her on MTV, and the band’s sound was completed with sly, dark and snarky lyrics delivered in a sultry way.

The band’s eponymous debut album was a surprise hit upon release in August 1995, selling more than 4 million copies worldwide. Follow-up Version 2.0 (1998) was equally successful, even receiving a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year. Then the band recorded “The World Is Not Enough” to the eponymous James Bond movie, and the record industry started to bring the band down.

Beautiful Garbage (2001) was barely promoted due to a release too close to the 9/11 attacks, and underperformed at the charts. Fourth album Bleed Like Me (2005) had a troubled production where bandmembers were frequently arguing, and eventually the album’s tour was cut short and Garbage disbanded for 2 years, only regrouped in 2007 to record new tracks for greatest hits compilation Absolute Garbage.
