[Chorus]
See, I just can’t relate
You try to pretend we’re the same—but we ain’t the same
You try to pretend for the fame, I say you a lame, yeah
I can’t relate, I can’t relate (Nah, nah)
I cannot relate, I cannot relate
Nah, yeah
You try to pretend we’re the same—but we ain’t the same
You try to pretend for the fame, I say you a lame, ayy
I can’t relate, I can’t relate
I cannot relate, I cannot relate

[Verse]
Had an epiphany (Scream this!)
I’m in control of my destiny
Ominous entity, Mephisto has no control of me
Rather be wrapped up in cellophane than give my soul for the fame
Well I must be new to this game, even though they all know my name
All I ever wanted was another one to feel me on a mental level
And not just the devil or malevolent evolutions of the animal in me
You tell me you feel me and I don’t believe it
Next thing that I know, you gon' turn on me
Let everybody believe your lies
I’ll be fine, I’ll be fine

[Interlude]
War is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength

[Chorus]
See, I just can’t relate
You try to pretend we’re the same—but we ain’t the same
You try to pretend for the fame, I say you a lame, yeah
I can’t relate, I can’t relate (Nah, nah)
I cannot relate, I cannot relate
Nah, yeah
You try to pretend we’re the same—but we ain’t the same
You try to pretend for the fame, I say you a lame, ayy
I can’t relate, I can’t relate
I cannot relate, I cannot relate

Ghostemane

Eric Whitney Ghoste (born April 15, 1991), also known as Ghostemane, is an artist from Lake Worth, Florida. He initially rose to popularity as a member of the now-defunct SCHEMAPOSSE—a group that included Lil Peep and JGRXXN amongst others. In a 2017 interview with No Jumper, Ghostemane said he decided to leave SCHEMAPOSSE as he wanted to grow as an independent artist, and didn’t want to be boxed in a certain group or movement.

In a 2016 interview with Metal Insider, Ghostemane stated that he was majorly influenced by metal bands such as Deicide, Death, Carcass, and Mayhem. He later got into hip hop groups such as Dirty Boyz, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, and Three 6 Mafia. He listed bands like Circle Takes the Square and The Number Twelve Looks Like You as additional inspirations in a 2016 statement to Masked Gorilla.

Ghostemane has numerous side projects. These include his lo-fi black metal project Baader Meinhof, and his experimental noise project GASM.
