Can we take this hell that we've sown
I think of all this time and how we've grown
Can you wake up sudden feeling peace (pleased?)
And walking all this time while down on your knees

Staring at the skyline
I can smell those Brackish waters
I swear I've had this feeling here before
Come on hard at night I pine for you and no other
I promise I won't hurt you anymore

Poor us, frail as they come
And thinkin' all this time I'm right and I'm not
I cannot help myself and I know it's not your fault
Well I was certain then, but now I don't know

Staring at the skyline
I can smell those Brackish waters
I swear I've had this feeling here before
Come on hard at night I cry for you and all the others
I promise I won't hurt you anymore

Staring at the skyline
I can smell those Brackish waters
I swear I've had this feeling here before
Come on hard at night I cry for you and all the others
I promise I won't hurt them anymore

Staring at the skyline
I can smell those Brackish waters
I swear I've had this feeling here before
Come on hard at night I cry for you and no other
I promise I won't hurt you anymore
Well I promise I won't hurt you anymore

Gin Blossoms

Gin Blossoms is an American rock band formed in 1987 in Tempe, Arizona. They rose to prominence following the 1992 release of their first major label album, New Miserable Experience, and the first single released from that album, “Hey Jealousy”. “Hey Jealousy” became a Top 25 hit and went gold, and New Miserable Experience eventually went quadruple platinum; four other charting singles were released from the album. The band’s follow-up album, Congratulations I’m Sorry (1996), went platinum and the single “As Long as It Matters” was nominated for a Grammy Award. Gin Blossoms broke up in 1997. Since reuniting in 2001, the band has released Major Lodge Victory in 2006, No Chocolate Cake in 2010, and Mixed Reality in 2018.
