[Intro]

Awwww, yeah

Babygirl, do you have a moment?
'Cause you and I need to have a
Talk
Ya been doubtin' everything that I'm saying
And I
Do
And that ain't cool

Do I need a reason?

[Verse 1:]
How can you
Say that you
Doubt my love
When I show you each and every day
Just because
I go out
With my boys
Don't mean that I'm out on the chase
Tell me why

(Pre-Hook)
(All my all I'm gonna give to you) All my all I wanna give to you, baby
(From now on I'm gonna be good to you baby)
I'm gonna be good, baby
(Girl, you know you make my dream come true)
Girl, you know you make my dream come true
'Cause there ain't nothing I wouldn't do for you, baby

[Hook]
What can I say to you
To justify my love
Do I have to have a reason for loving you?

What can I say to you
To justify my love
Do I have to have a reason for loving you?

[Verse 2:]
What can I
Do to make
You believe
That no one else can take your place
Don't you know
It is you
I adore
Ya keep me coming back for more

(Pre-Hook)
(All my all I'm gonna give to you) I'm gonna give you my all
(From now all I'm gonna be good to ya, baby)
I'll be right there for you, boy
(Boy you know you make my dreams come true)
You make my dreams come true
And there ain't nothing I wouldn't do for you

[Hook] x2
What can I say to you
To justify my love
Do I have to have a reason for loving you?

What can I say to you
To justify my love
Do I have to have a reason for loving you?

What can I say to you
To justify my love
Do I have to have a reason for loving you?

What can I say to you
To justify my love
Do I have to have a reason for loving you?

Can ya dig it?

[rap]
No need to front
I feed my feelings on the down low, yo
I love ya, boo
So won't you let my feelings flow
'Cause I'm straight, are you straight?
Then start cheesin'
And just remember, baby
I love you for all seasons
And yo
Dig this
I feel ya got the flavor
And ya know what's definitely in my nature
So
Keep in mind
You're the one that I'm thinkin' of
So why should I have to justify my love?

(Pre-Hook)
(All my all I'm gonna give to you) I'm gonna give you my all, baby
(From now all I'm gonna be good to ya, baby)
I'll be good, baby
(Boy you know you make my dreams come true)
You make my dreams come true, boy
'Cause there ain't nothing I wouldn't do for you, baby

[Hook] x2
What can I say to you
To justify my love
Do I have to have a reason for loving you?

What can I say to you
To justify my love
Do I have to have a reason for loving you?

What can I say to you
To justify my love
Do I have to have a reason for loving you?

What can I say to you
To justify my love
Do I have to have a reason for loving you?

Do I have to?

Do I have to?

Hi-Five

Hi-Five is an R&B group from Waco, Texas, originally consisting of lead singer Tony Thompson, Russell Neal, Roderick Clark, Marcus Sanders, and Toriano Easley, who was later replaced by Treston Irby. They released their self-titled debut album in 1990, which peaked at #1 on the Billboard R&B Albums chart and was certified Platinum. This album featured the #1 R&B/Top 10 Pop hit “I Can’t Wait Another Minute,” and “I Just Can’t Handle It,” which peaked at #3 on the R&B Singles chart, as well as their biggest hit, the Teddy Riley-produced “I Like the Way (The Kissing Game),” which hit #1 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and R&B Singles chart.

Their follow-up album Keep It Goin' On was released in 1992 and featured the hit songs “She’s Playing Hard To Get,” which peaked at #2 on the R&B Singles chart and #5 on the Pop chart, as well as the R. Kelly-produced single “Quality Time,” which peaked at #3 on the R&B Singles chart. Their third album Faithful was released in 1993 and contained the hit singles “Unconditional Love” and “Never Should’ve Let You Go”, which were also featured on the soundtracks to Menace II Society and Sister Act 2, respectively.

The group disbanded in 1994 and Tony Thompson went on to release his solo album Sexsational in 1995. Thompson re-formed Hi-Five with four new members and released the album The Return independently in 2005 but he was issued a cease-and-desist order by the original members of the group to halt sales of the album. As discussions of putting the original group back together were taking place, Tony Thompson passed away on June 1, 2007 in his hometown of Waco, Texas. Treston Irby and Marcus Sanders have carried on with the Hi-Five name, continuing to make music and tour.
