Joeboy

The first recipient of Mr Eazi’s $300,000 #Empawa100 fund that invests and empowers the next generation of African music artists, Joeboy, has been teasing us with his dulcet tunes all year and before we wrap up 2018 we are treated to the Nigerian singer/songwriters first official single ‘Fààjí’ and we can confirm it has been worth the wait!

The Banku Music label owner Mr Eazi is such a fan of the artists sound he couldn’t help but jump on the single, giving Joeboy that official Happy Boy co-sign.

Earlier this year we heard Joeboy’s sweet tones on “Fire” alongside GuiltyBeatz and King Promise, but now he is ready to win over listeners with the infectious Fààji. The track is produced by E Kelly (Leg Over, Pour Me Water) the beat has an infectious bounce that is layered with Joeboy’s signature melodies. We hear him vibe out and declare how he loves to have fun and “Mo le jo, to ri mi o je Enibodi lowo “(I can dance because I owe no one money) the inspiration behind the song is just the word itself ,” Fààjí”. A fun track with authority that can be bumped in the car and the club…try not moving to this one, we dare you….
