Listen to me, y'all

There are people who have let
The problems of today
Lead them to conclude that for them
Life is not the way
But every problem has an answer
And if yours you cannot find
You can talk it over to Him
He'll give you peace of mind

If you feel your life's too hard
Then just go have a talk with God
Yeah, listen, y'all

Many of us feel
We walk alone without a friend
Never communicating
With the One who lives within
Forgetting all about the One
Who never ever lets you down
And you can talk to him anytime
He's always around

If you feel your life's too hard
Then just go have a talk with God

Oh, but first you gotta feel it
Listen to me, y'all...

Well, He's the only free psychiatrist
That's known throughout the world
For solving the problems of all men
Women, little boys and girls

If you feel your life's too hard
Then just go have a talk with God
Oh, come on, y'all

If you feel your life's too hard
Then just go have a talk with God
Oh, yeah, oh, yeah, oh, yeah
If your load's too much to bear
Then just go talk to God, He cares
Oh, yeah, oh, yeah, oh, yeah

If you feel your life's too hard, then feel it
(Just go have a talk with God)
Oh, talk with God
Oh, yeah, oh, yeah, oh, yeah
If your load's too much to bear, then bear it
Talk to God, He cares
Oh, yeah, oh, yeah, oh, yeah
If you feel your life's too hard, then feel it
(Just go have a talk with God)
Talk to God, He cares about you, y'all

Jon Gibson

From the artist’s website:

In 1972, according to Gibson’s father, there was not a dry eye left in the auditorium when 3rd grader, Jon Gibson took to the stage at Robert Saunders Elementary School to sing Michael Jackson’s “Ben” over a 45 record. Winning first place in the school talent show was the beginning of a musical journey that would lead to over twenty hit songs. But a troubled upbringing, tainted by alcoholism, divorce and an abusive stepfather would cause issues to surface in his teens, landing him in the San Francisco Youth Guidance Center. After being stabbed by rival gang members, Gibson joined the Army where he served in Germany.

After returning home from the Army in 1980, Gibson moved in with his real father who had recently become a born again Christian. Impressed by his father’s miraculous turn around, Gibson also became a born again Christian; with a new direction, love and support from his father and step mother, he began to work on his music career. It wasn’t long before Gibson was making a mark on a Bay Area music scene that was already beginning to refer to him as The White Stevie Wonder.
