Featuring: MC Hammer

One, two, three

I've played the game, I've been a fool
I've let some people use me like a tool
But I'm back again for another round
And whatever they do will crumble to the ground

This wall will fall
I've never met one yet that was too tall
This wall will fall
I've never met one yet that was invincible

MC Hammer in effect, I'm against the wall
And we got the power to make it fall
No effort, no chance, so get involved
We got the come together against the wall
Degradation, segregation, and it's like that
And there's no love when the wall's intact
Bring it down, break it down, and it's like that
Until the wall that stands is broken flat

This wall will fall
I've never met one yet that was too tall
This wall will fall
I've never met one yet that was invincible

Do you see the problem that is at hand
And if you don't, then will explain it then
The wall that stands is in our face
It's overseas and in the states
But the love that we have can make the change
MC AND J.G., and we're layin' down game
To sing the change, it's got to stop
The wall stands tall, but it's about the be rocked

Well, excuse me, my dear, but J.G. is here
And I like to make the message in the music clear
So sit yourself down and listen real good
I'm not about to stop until it's understood
You say you've been hurt, and I believe that's true
And you can join the crowd, homeboy, 'cause I've been, too
But you've built a wall that stands ten feet tall
Don't you know that someday

This wall will fall
I've never met one yet that was too tall
This wall will fall
I've never met one yet that was invincible

I've played the game, I've been a fool
I've let some people use me like a tool
But I'm back again for another round
And whatever they do will crumble to the ground

'Cause this wall...

Yeah!
This song is in effect
I like it like that
Everybody say ho! (Ho!)
Say ho! (Ho!)
Say ho, yeah! (Ho, yeah!)
Say ho, yeah! (Ho, yeah!)
This song is in effect, I need some bass

We came to meet you, hope you're on our side
We came to meet you to break down this wall pride

Yeah, never like today, does it need to stop
Tear down the wall and make it crumble to rock
The people as one, that is our mission
To help to change the condition

If anyone sands behind the wall
They'd better move away, 'cause tonight it's gonna fall

Well, we do it like this, 'cause the feelin' is true
And I hope in our hearts when we get through
Don't think that we can make it one and all
Have a problem we can solve 'em

Everybody, this wall, this wall!
This wall, this wall!
Everybody in the house, this wall, this wall!
This wall, this wall!

Everybody, this wall, this wall!
This wall, this wall!
Everybody in the house, this wall, this wall!
This wall, this wall!

Everybody in the house, this wall...

Jon Gibson

From the artist’s website:

In 1972, according to Gibson’s father, there was not a dry eye left in the auditorium when 3rd grader, Jon Gibson took to the stage at Robert Saunders Elementary School to sing Michael Jackson’s “Ben” over a 45 record. Winning first place in the school talent show was the beginning of a musical journey that would lead to over twenty hit songs. But a troubled upbringing, tainted by alcoholism, divorce and an abusive stepfather would cause issues to surface in his teens, landing him in the San Francisco Youth Guidance Center. After being stabbed by rival gang members, Gibson joined the Army where he served in Germany.

After returning home from the Army in 1980, Gibson moved in with his real father who had recently become a born again Christian. Impressed by his father’s miraculous turn around, Gibson also became a born again Christian; with a new direction, love and support from his father and step mother, he began to work on his music career. It wasn’t long before Gibson was making a mark on a Bay Area music scene that was already beginning to refer to him as The White Stevie Wonder.
