[Part 1]

[Refrain]
And what's there to talk about
Solve with my eyes
Boy, you made a girl feel suicidal
Now even your son, he says I'm better than you
I feel like I'm just like you
And what's there to talk about
Solve with my eyes
Boy, you made a girl feel suicidal
Now even your son, he says I'm better than you
I feel like I'm just like you

[Verse]
I need you
I need you to follow me
I need you to trust me

[Chorus]
Texas, Georgia, California (Just follow, ay)
California, California (Just follow me)
Texas, Georgia, California (I need you to)
California, California (Just, uh, just)

[Part 2]

[Pre-Chorus]
Had to gather all my people up
Take 'em to the river
Walk 'em through the watеr
Live with them a little
Had to gathеr all my people up
Take 'em to the river
Walk 'em through the water
Live with them a little

[Chorus]
The Corpus Christi Coast (Yeah)
The Corpus Christi Coast (Ayy)
The Corpus Christi Coast (You ever been out here?)
The Corpus Christi Coast (Aight)
The Corpus Christi Coast
The Corpus Christi Coast (You wanna try it?)
The Corpus Christi Coast (Nah)
The Corpus Christi Coast

[Verse 1]
Me and my nephew so close in age, it's kinda like we brothers
What happen when his mama get beat up?
Whose eyes gon' be covered?
Just another day as kids, man, hustle in the summer
Watch the cars, 2007, grandmama married the reverend
'Fore that, the pretty white boy showed up on her doorstep
Embracing Mormonism cause the whites were so nice, I heard
I ain't stick around long enough to do a mission on none of that
When I got older, I ended up sucking off all the white boys
Cycle of life, Texas did it right
Garth Brooks playin' late at night
Riding around, roof coming down
We pulled out, got me talking me now
Got me sparking now

[Interlude]
Why my heart slowing down?
Is this supposed to happen?
Wait, is it just me, is it making you slow down?
Is it, is it, is it?

[Verse 2]
Boy we smoking mids
I hate being a kid, I thought we was imposed?
Still fuck the rich, fuck is this? This where we live
I hate my brother in law, he acting like a bitch
Always squaring up on my sister
Dragging my hair through the kitchen, uh
We got the volume up on the television
But sometimes I think this nigga want us to hear him

[Pre-Chorus]
Had to gather all my people up
Take 'em to the river
Walk 'em through the water
Live with them a little
Had to gather all my people up
Take 'em to the river
Walk 'em through the water
Live with them a little

[Chorus]
The Corpus Christi Coast (Yeah)
The Corpus Christi Coast (Ayy)
The Corpus Christi Coast (You ever been out here?)
The Corpus Christi Coast (Aight)
The Corpus Christi Coast
The Corpus Christi Coast (You wanna try it?)
The Corpus Christi Coast (Nah)
The Corpus Christi Coast

[Outro]
All this in my life
All this in my life
Mmm, I am getting old

[Part 3]

[Verse]
I need you to follow me
I need you to follow me
I need you
I need you
I need you

[Refrain]
And what's there to talk about
Solve with my eyes
Boy, you made a girl feel suicidal
Now even your son, he says I'm better than you
I feel like I'm just like you

[Chorus]
Texas, Georgia, California
California, California (I feel like I'm just like you)
Texas, Georgia, California
California, California (I feel like I'm just like you)

Kevin Abstract

Clifford Ian Fernando Simpson (born July 16, 1996), better known by his stage name Kevin Abstract, is an American singer-songwriter, rapper, producer, and filmmaker from Corpus Christi, TX. He is the de-facto leader of the All-American boy band, BROCKHAMPTON, and was heavily influenced by Nirvana, Will Smith (as both a rapper and actor), and Kanye West among others.

As a musical artist, Kevin gained traction when he toured with the Californian indie band The Neighbourhood. Jesse Rutherford, the lead singer of the band, became good friends with Kevin and promoted his second album, American A Suburban Love Story on social media.

Kevin released several projects years ago that most aren’t even aware of, largely due to the the fact that they can’t be found on his social media platforms anymore, or that they are missing entirely—which is why some of the lyrics to his projects are unable to be transcribed.
