[Verse 1]
I will always be hoping, hoping
You will always he holding, holding
My heart in your hand
I will understand
I will understand someday, one day
You will understand always
Always from now until then

[Chorus]
When it will be right, I don't know
What it will be like, I don't know
We live in hope of deliverance from the darkness that surrounds us
Hope of deliverance, hope of deliverance
Hope of deliverance from the darkness that surrounds us
(from the darkness that surrounds us)

[Verse 2]
And I wouldn't mind knowing, knowing
That you wouldn't mind going, going along with my plan

[Chorus]
When it will be right, I don't know
What it will be like, I don't know
We live in hope of deliverance from the darkness that surrounds us
Hope of deliverance, hope of deliverance
Hope of deliverance from the darkness that surrounds us
(from the darkness that surrounds us)

[Outro]
Hope of deliverance, hope of deliverance
Hope of deliverance from the darkness that surrounds us
(from the darkness that surrounds us)
Hope of deliverance, hope of deliverance
Hope of deliverance from the darkness that surrounds us
(from the darkness that surrounds us)
(from the darkness that surrounds us)
(from the darkness that surrounds us)

I will understand
I will understand

Leslie Clio

Leslie Clio, born in Hamburg, is a German soul-pop singer. She describes her style as “modern soul-pop with a touch of retro”. She discovered her love of soul as a teenager herself, “I was in my youth, often alone, especially at boarding school. Where I worked a lot with myself and just with the music,” she says. Almost every day she went to a music store and heard music by Lauryn Hill, Etta James and The Fugees.
