[Verse 1: Mary J. Blige]
Lately I've got this funny feelin'
Somethin' don't feel the same
But he's tellin' me I'm the one to blame
Yes, I know that he still gives me good lovin'
But when he's deep inside
There's somebody else on his mind

[Chorus: Mary J. Blige & Aretha Franklin]
Don't waste your time
But it gets so hard to know
Just walk away
You say that I gotta let go
Seen it a million times before
You shouldn't take his stuff no more
Can't waste my time
Girl, it's not hard to know
Should walk away
Yeah, you've gotta let him go
Seen it a million times before
Shouldn't take his sh... no more

[Verse 2: Aretha Franklin & (Mary J. Blige)]
Sister girl, sister girl
It's much deeper than what you're thinkin', ooh
When somethin' don't feel the same
You better believe his love has changed
(M: And I've been tellin' you, tellin' you)
And what your're tellin' me
('Cause it's been hurtin' me, hurtin' me)
He's got a sweetie on the side
Stop making truth out of his lie

[Chorus: Mary J. Blige & Aretha Franklin]
Don't waste your time
But it gets so hard to know
Just walk away
You say that I gotta let go
Seen it a million times before
You shouldn't take his stuff no more
Can't waste my time
Girl, it's not hard to know
Should walk away
Yeah, you've gotta let him go
Seen it a million times before
Shouldn't take his sh... no more
Shouldn't take it, don't you take it

[Bridge: Mary J. Blige & Aretha Franklin]
What's the point of love when you've got no trust?
What's the point of stayin' when you've seen enough?
What's the point of givin' what he don't deserve?
(He don't deserve it; no, he don't deserve it)
What's the point of feelin' like there's nothin' inside?
What's the point of sayin' that you still got your pride?
What's the point of givin' what he don't deserve?
(This is a lesson for all my ladies)

[Outro: Mary J. Blige & Aretha Franklin]
(Don't waste your time, walk away)
Oh, I'm so tired to walking away over and over
(Seen it a million times before, you shouldn't take it)
No, I shouldn't take it
The boy is a fool, oh, yes he is
(Don't waste your time, walk away)
Shouldn't take it
(Seen it a million times before, you shouldn't take it)
Sister girl, you shouldn't take it
(Don't waste your time, walk away)
You ain't gon' be my friend no more
(Seen it a million times before, you shouldn't take it)
Cut him loose
(Don't waste your time, walk away)
It's a lowdown dirty shame
(Seen it a million times before, you shouldn't take it)
Oh, oh, oh, he worked his game on you
I know
(Don't waste your time, walk away)
Oh, sister girl, you need to walk now
Yes I do, yes I do, yeah
Oh yeah

Mary J. Blige

Mary Jane Blige (b. Jan 11 1971) grew up in the projects of Yonkers, New York. A random decision to record a cover of “Caught Up in the Rapture” by Anita Baker in a pop-up recording booth at a mall led MJB to getting signed by Uptown Entertainment. After providing background vocals on Father MC’s hit single “I’ll Do 4 U” in 1990, a young intern at Uptown named Sean “Puffy” Combs ended up executive producing Mary’s 1992 debut album What’s The 411?. Fusing hip-hop beats with Mary’s soulful voice earned her the nickname “Queen of Hip-Hop Soul”.

She followed up her debut with a string of critically acclaimed albums, including 1994’s My Life and 1997’s Share My World, as well as hit singles such as “Not Gon' Cry,” “Family Affair,” “Be Without You,” and “Just Fine.”

She also collaborated with rappers on a number of tracks, including Jay-Z’s “Can’t Knock the Hustle,” Ghostface Killah’s “All That I Got is You,” Wyclef’s “911,” Common’s “Come Close,” and Method Man’s “I’ll Be There for You/All I Need to Get By,” which was a platinum hit and won the two of them a Grammy Award in 1996 for Best Rap Performance By a Duo or Group.
