[Chorus: Matt Maeson & Lana Del Rey]
Pushing past the limit, trippin' on hallucinogenics
My cigarette burnt my finger 'cause I forgot I lit it

[Verse 1: Matt Maeson & Both]
Rippin' with my sinners 'cause fuck it, man, I ain't no beginner
And then I crawled back to the life that I said I wouldn't live in

[Pre-Chorus: Matt Maeson & Lana Del Rey]
'Cause I just couldn't open up, I'm always shiftin'
Go find yourself a man who's strong and tall and Christian

[Chorus: Both]
Pushing past the limit, trippin' on hallucinogenics
My cigarette burnt my finger 'cause I forgot I lit it

[Verse 2: Both]
Drunken in Seattle, two more Xans and without a paddle
I don't remember your face or your hair or your name or your smile

[Pre-Chorus: Both]
'Cause I just couldn't open up, I'm always shiftin'
Go find yourself a man who's strong and tall and Christian

[Chorus: Both]
Pushing past the limit, trippin' on hallucinogenics
And then I crawled back to thе life that I said I wouldn't live in

[Bridge: Matt Maeson & Both]
'Cause I carriеd on like the wayward son
And now through and through, I've come undone
And now I am just but the wayward man
What with my bloodshot eyes and my shaky hands
'Cause I carried on like the wayward son
And now through and through, I've come undone
And now I am just but the wayward man
What with my bloodshot eyes and my shaky hands

[Chorus: Both]
Pushing past the limit, trippin' on hallucinogenics
My cigarette burnt my finger 'cause I forgot I lit it

Matt Maeson

Matt Maeson (born January 17, 1993) is an American singer and songwriter, hailing from Norfolk, Virginia. Matt learned to play the guitar at age 15 and grew up performing songs for inmates at maximum-security prisons with his parents. He played his first live gig at a Chick-fil-A open-mic night.

At the beginning of his musical career, Matt derived the stage name “Matt Maeson” from his real name “Matt Mason” in order to avoid confusion with country star Matt Mason. In 2012, he released a 6 song EP under his real name entitled Black Lungs.

In 2015, he returned to music and began posting his songs online, and in the summer of 2016, he headlined his first U.S. Tour organized by Mumford and Sons‘ Ben Lovett.
