[Intro]
Uh uh, no no no no
Uh uh, no no no no
Uh uh, no no no no
Uh uh, no no no no

[Verse 1]
You told me things of love
You promised me treasure
You said the sun would shine
And you would be all mine
You told me to hold fast
And that this thing would last
But when I caught you it hurt
You had no excuse

[Chorus]
(Baby, why should I believe you)
When you do those things you do to me
(Why should I believe you)
When I trust you, you make a fool of me
(Baby, why should I believe you)
When I know it's you, me and she
(Give me one good reason)
Why I should not leave your...mmm

[Verse 2]
We spent so many nights
Talking about our lives
And all the things we'd do
Once it was me and you
You said nothing compared
Boy, to this love we shared
But when I caught you it hurt
You had no excuse

[Chorus]
(Baby, why should I believe you)
When you do the things you do to me
(Why should I believe you)
When I trust you, you make a fool of me
(Baby, why should I believe you)
When I know it's you, me and she
(Give me one good reason)
Why I should not leave your...
Boy, what

[Bridge]
What did I ever do to make you lie to me?
(What did I ever do to make you lie to me?)
I thought that lovin' you would truly set me free
(You said the love was suppose to set me free)
I didn't deserve to feel this pain and feeling down
(I don't deserve this pain I'm feelin' inside right now)
Tell me why
(Boy, tell me why)

[Chorus]
(Baby, why should I believe you)
When you do those things you do to me
(Why should I believe you)
When I trust you, you make a fool of me
(Baby, why should I believe you)
When I know it's you, me and she
(Give me one good reason)
Why I should not leave your...mmm mmm
(Baby, why should I believe you)
Someone's gonna get you back
It's gonna come back around
(Why should I believe you)
And I ain't puttin' up with your crap
'Cause all you wanna do is do it back
(Baby, why should I believe you)
When I know it's you, me and she
(Give me one good reason)
Why I...
(Baby, why should I believe you)
Baby, yeah yeah, uh huh
(Why should I believe you)
Baby, yeah yeah, uh huh
(Baby, why should I believe you)
Baby, yeah yeah, uh huh
(Give me one good reason)
Why

[Outro]
Baby, why should I believe you?
Why should I believe you?
Baby, why should I believe you?
Give me one good reason
