[Intro: Ronnie DeVoe & Ricky Bell]
Yeah, tonight's your night, baby
Whatever you want, whatever you need, it's on me
(Oh)

[Chorus: New Edition, Ricky Bell, Johnny Gill]
How do you like your love served?
Tell me what you think you deserve
How do you like it?
(How do you like it, how do you like it, baby?)
How do you like your love served? (I wanna know)
Girl, just give me the word
How do you like it? (Oh, oh, oh)

[Verse 1: Ricky Bell]
Here I am for your pleasure
I just wanna make you happy, girl
Baby, no, no, no pressure
Satisfaction guaranteed, yeah, oh yeah
If you want full service, baby, pull up on me

[Pre-Chorus: Johnny Gill]
I wanna caress you, and maybe undress you, oh yeah
I'll do all of that and more
Give you the love that you've been waiting for
I wanna fulfill you
I swear that I'll thrill you, yeah
Give you all the love you need
May I take your order, please?

[Chorus: New Edition, Ricky Bell, Johnny GIll]
How do you like your love served?
Tell me what you think you deserve
(Tell me girl, tell me girl)
How do you like it?
(I wanna know how you like your love served)
(Come on)
How do you like your love served?
(Can you tell me, baby?)
Girl, just give me the word
(Anything that you want, yeah)
How do you like it?
(I wanna know)
(Come on, just say the word, say the word)

[Interlude: Ronnie DeVoe]
Here we go

[Verse 2: Ralph Tresvant, Ricky Bell]
Just tell me what you want, baby
I know I got the things you need
I'm here to serve you
Girl, you can count on me, oh
Appetizers start at nine (At nine), main course starts at ten (At ten)
When all of that is finished, girl, the dessert begins
And that's when I...

[Pre-Chorus: Johnny Gill, Ralph Tresvant, New Edition]
(Caress you) Oh, that's when I caress you
And maybe (Undress you)
And maybe, maybe, maybe undress you (Yeah, baby)
Give you all of that and more
Give you the love that you've been waiting for
I wanna fulfill you, fulfill you, fulfill you
(Thrill you) Oh, I swear that I'll thrill you, yeah
Give you all the love you need
May I take your order, please?

[Chorus: New Edition, Ralph Tresvant, Johnny Gill]
How do you like your love served? (Oh, oh)
Tell me what you think you deserve
(Anything that you want) (Oh, oh)
How do you like it?
(Oh, yeah yeah)
(I wanna know what you like, what you want, what you need)
How do you like your love served?
Girl, just give me the word
How do you like it?
(Tell me everything that you want
Tell me everything that you need)

[Bridge: Ricky Bell, Ralph Tresvant, Johnny Gill]
I'll serve it on a silver platter (Platter)
Any way you want, it don't matter (Matter)
I'll give it to you like you like it (Like you like it)
Girl, I wanna do it all night (All night)
Give it to you like you need
Baby, you don't have to beg or plead
I wanna be there for you
Girl, you know I adore you
(You know that I adore you) (Oh, oh)

[Bridge: New Edition & Johnny Gill]
Tell me how you like, tell me how you like it, baby
(Tell me how ya want it)
Tell me how you like, tell me how you like it, baby
(Tell me how you need it)
Tell me how you like, tell me how you like it, baby
Tell me how you like, tell me how you like it, baby
(I'll get down, I'll get down, I'll get down on my knees)
How do you like it?
Give you all the things you need
You don't have to beg or plead
(Come on)
How do you like it?
All you gotta do is say the word
(If you want it sunnyside up, if you want it sunnyside down)
I really wanna know how you like your love served

[Chorus: New Edition, Johnny Gill, Ricky Bell]
How do you like your love served?
(Do it again and again and again and again and again)
Tell me what you think you deserve
How do you like it?
(Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, oh, oh yeah) (Come on)
How do you like your love served?
(Gotta give you what you want)
(All you gotta do is talk to me) (Give you want you need, baby)
Girl, just give me the word
(Tell me what you need)
How do you like it?
(Do it for you, baby)
(Anything that you want you know it's my, my command)

[Outro: New Edition]
How do you like...
How do you want...
How do you need...
How do you like...
How do you want...
How do you need...

New Edition

New Edition is a Boston-based R&B group that was seen as the inspiration of the boy bands that followed them during the 1980s and 1990s. The group initially consisted of Ralph Tresvant, Bobby Brown, Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, and Ronnie DeVoe. They released their debut album Candy Girl in 1983 after being discovered by producer Maurice Starr. This album yielded the hits “Candy Girl,” “Popcorn Love,” and “Is This the End.” After a financial dispute, New Edition cut ties with Starr and released their second album New Edition in 1984, which features two of their biggest “Cool It Now” and “Mr. Telephone Man.” In November 1985, they released All for Love featuring the hits “Count Me Out” and “A Little Bit of Love (Is All It Takes)” and one month later released Christmas All Over the World.

Before the end of 1985, the group decided to vote Bobby Brown out of the group for his disruptive behavior. After their 1986 doo-wop cover album Under the Blue Moon, lead singer Ralph Tresvant was considering a solo career as the group’s direction was in question. In 1987, Johnny Gill was added to the group and the quintet went on to create their most popular album Heart Break with producers Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis in 1988. This album was released on June 20, 1988—the same day as Bobby Brown’s Don’t Be Cruel—and features two more of their biggest “If It Isn’t Love” and “Can You Stand the Rain.”

In 1990, Ralph Tresvant, Johnny Gill and Bell Biv Devoe all went on to have successful hits. Among these hits was the remix to BBD’s “Word to the Mutha,” which was the first song to feature all six members. After a hiatus, all six members came together in 1996 to create the album Home Again, which hit #1 on the Billboard 200 and was a multi-platinum success. After some friction on the Home Again tour, Bobby Brown decided to depart the group again. In 2004, after leaving their longtime label MCA Records, New Edition signed with Bad Boy Records and released the album One Love but they left Bad Boy a year later due to a lack of promotion. The group continues to tour together and sell out shows after 30 years in the business. The group was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on January 23, 2017—one day ahead of the BET premiere of their 3-night mini-series The New Edition Story.
