[Verse 1: Pharoahe Monch]
Say left, huh, left-right, left-right
Wing hates exposure, but love a defeatist to death, right?
Beat the defeatist morality 'til there's no feet left, right?
Teach us the killer mentality to shove us some tech
We are just another formality of government debt
But Lord, what's worse is even after I served
After I followed the scriptures and honored the word
After I fought for America, got what I deserved, I
Came back to racism, absurd
You look down on me while I pick the garbage, you enjoy your melanin curb
I'm like, "what's your thoughts, son, your bird's eye, bitch?
You probably thinkin' I'm itchin' for my post-traumatic, huh?
Is it because I'm twitchin' from the most dramatic shit I've ever seen?"
My commanding officer yelling at the pregnant woman to drink from the latrine
Little baby body layin' face down on the ravine
I thought I'd be an action figure
Kung-fu grip, and that ain't even the half, my nigga
When I needed medication the doctor wouldn't respond
Even when I told him I was the very first to respond
He said..

[Chorus: Pharoahe Monch]
Step left-right, left-right
Step left-right, left-right
Step left-right, left-right
Right, left-right, left-right

[Verse 2: Reks]
Complexities of our complexion
Different shape and size, look in the eyes, see a reflection
Of what we feed mind, and body get chose
Your alkaline skin glows
Pharmaceutical companies pimp us like hoes
With quick fixes mixin' the elixirs, too addictive
Momma's prescription is the side effect, small printin'
It's all business, industrial, revolution music
You listen to it to just numb the reality
Desentizized mentality, tablet to tongue to have relief
The doctor's bedside manner make nana have belief
Soilin' the soil tap water, we need to boil no seeds
It's GMO if it grow, it needs to spoil, man-made
Manipulation unpure, it's unnatural
Doctors said it, we say it's factual, watch the ph scale
Don't let them sell you on depression pills and chemo
Lessons from the keynote, speaker on systems, we know

[Chorus: Pharoahe Monch]
Step left-right, left-right
Step left-right, left-right
Step left-right, left-right
Right, left-right, left-right

Reks

Lawrence, Massachusetts-born rapper Corey Isaiah Christie, known better to the underground hip-hop heads as Reks, first appeared on wax in 2001, years after building his name in the local Boston rap scene. His debut featured guest spots from members of the Outsidaz aswell as Ed OG.

Since then, Reks has gone on to release countless albums, many of which have been critically lauded, the most acclaimed of which was 2011’s Rhythmatic Eternal King Supreme – an anagram of his rap name. The album featured production from DJ Premier, Pete Rock, The Alchemist, Hi-Tek, Nottz, Sha Money XL. and Statik Selektah—being hailed as one of the best hip hop albums of recent years. More recently, Reks has become more politicized which is evident in his latest album Revolution Cocktail released in mid-2013.
