Songwriter: Rick Springfield

I'm looking for your back door
And firing up a chain saw
I'm comin for ya, baby
Gonna find my way back in
I'm coming in the out door
I got candy from the drug store
I'm gonna get ya, sugar
And together we're going to sin

I wanna leave a snake skin
I wanna be a bad thing
I got a jelly roll with alcohol and Vicodin
But if you're tryin' to find salvation
I'm not your destination
But I sure am in the bed you're sleeping in

I am the real thing
I am your dark sin
I am the Snake King
I am the whip sting
I am the war sling
I am the Snake King
Snake King

Still looking for a meaning
Well, baby I'm leaning
By the fact that this is great big rollin' thin
Rollin' down the highway
It ain't comin' my way
And I'll disappear
Just like I've never been

Hey Little sister
I know I heard you whisper
I wanna bury full a jelly roll of epinephrine
I'll be your godless sin
Give you boots of fine snake skin
And the kind of thing that money just can't buy

I am the real thing
I am your dark sin
I am the Snake King
Snake King
I am the whip sting
I am the war sling

I am the Snake King
Snake King

Well look at what the cat dragged in
You're feelin' more alive
Than you've ever been
I've got your jelly roll with alcohol and vicodin
You'll say a sweet amen
As I burn you down again
You want it all
But you just can't figure out why

I am the Snake King
I am the Snake King
I am the Snake King

I am the real thing
I am the dark sin
I am the Snake King
Snake King

I am the whip sting
I am the war sling
I am the Snake King
Snake King

I am the real thing
I am the dark sin
I am the Snake King
I am the Snake King
