Songwriter: Rick Springfield

[Verse 1]
I'm looking for your back door, and firing up a chain saw
I'm coming for you baby, gonna find my way back in
I'm coming in the out door, I got candy from the drug store
I'm gonna get you sugar and together we're gonna sin
I wanna leave a snake skin, I wanna be your bad thing
I got a jelly roll with alcohol and Vicodin

[Pre Chorus]
But if you're tryin' to find salvation, I'm not your destination
But I sure am in the bed you're sleeping in

[Chorus]
I am the real thing
I am your dark sin
I am the snake king
I am the whip sting
I am the war sling
I am the snake king, snake king

[Verse 2]
Still looking for a meaning, well baby I'm leaning
By the fact that this is great big rolling thin
Rollin' down the highway, it ain't coming my way
And I'll disappear, just like I've never been
Hey little sister, I know I heard you whisper
I wanna belly full of jelly roll of epinephrine

[Pre Chorus]
I'll be your godless sin, give you boots a fine snake skin
And the kind of thing that money just can't buy

[Chorus]
I am the real thing
I am your dark sin
I am the snake king, snake king
I am the whip sting
I am the war sling
I am the snake king, snake king

[Guitar Solo]

[Verse 3]
Well look at what the cat dragged in
You're feelin' more alive than you've ever been
I've got your jelly roll with alcohol and vicodin
You'll say a sweet amen, as I burn you down again
You want it all but you just can't figure out why

[Bridge]
I am the snake king
I am the snake king
I am the snake king

[Chorus]
I am the real thing
I am your dark sin
I am the snake king, snake king
I am the whip sting
I am the war sling
I am the snake king, snake king
I am the real thing
I am your dark sin
I am the snake king, I am the snake king
