[Verse 1]
Woke up this morning I was feeling good
Turned up the radio I understood
Things are changing like never before
Then I go back to bed and close the door

[Chorus]
It would be laughable if it wasn't sad
Yeah, laughable if it wasn’t sad

[Verse 2]
Picked up my cell phone and called a friend
They tried to tell me that it's not the end
I still remember how it used to be
How did this happen to you and me

[Chorus]
It would be laughable if it wasn't sad
Yeah, laughable if it wasn’t sad

[Bridge]
Let's all be honest, it's going to hell
But not forever
Don't be afraid, don't lose your place
We need to come together

[Verse 3]
They think they're different even I can see
It's [?] of loving for you and for me

[Chorus]
It would be laughable if it wasn't sad
Yeah, laughable if it wasn’t sad

Yeah, laughable if it wasn’t sad

Ringo Starr

Best known as the drummer for The Beatles, Ringo Starr (born Richard Starkey, 1940) also had a moderately successful solo career (with hits like “It Don’t Come Easy” and “Photograph”) and was the narrator for Thomas The Tank Engine.

His country-infused nickname emerged from a tendency to wear rings on his fingers.
