[Verse 1]
Do you remember when it was
All about the feelings in the heart
When did this love become so dark
So left field, so bizarre

[Pre-Chorus 1]
Only sure would be nice just to hear you be honest
Nothing but raw emotion is what I'm wanting
It's like you're ain't coming from the heart
Are we lost, where's the spark
I wanna know

[Chorus]
If what we say is in the soul
And the soul makes up who we are
And if we don't speak from the heart
What are we doing, what are we doing
If what we got is true love
And love is all we need
And if we don't say what we mean
What are we doing, what are we doing
What are we doing
What are we doing
What are we doing
What are we doing

[Verse 2]
Someone told me back in the day
Without passion it's all in vain
I recall my mama used to say
Without hard work the love will fail

[Pre-Chorus 2]
Sure would be nice to get chills just like I used to
Lost in your touch so caught up like its voodoo
We can work it out cause all it takes
Is a man (like you) and a woman (like me)
To cooperate

[Chorus]
If what we say is in the soul
And the soul makes up who we are
And if we don't speak from the heart
What are we doing, what are we doing
If what we got is true love
And love is all we need
And if we don't say what we mean
What are we doing, what are we doing
What are we doing
What are we doing
What are we doing
What are we doing

BRIDGE:
Where do we go from here
Where do we go from here
Where do we go from here
Where do we go from here
Where do we go from here
Where do we go from here
Where do we go from here

[Chorus]
If what we say is in the soul
And the soul makes up who we are
And if we don't speak from the heart
What are we doing, what are we doing
If what we got is true love
And love is all we need
And if we don't say what we mean
What are we doing, what are we doing
What are we doing
What are we doing
What are we doing
What are we doing

Robert Glasper Experiment

The Robert Glasper Experiment originally included Robert Glasper, Mark Colenburg on the drums, Casey Benjamin on the saxophone and Derrick Hodge on the bass. It is described as “as an electronic act that defies genre norms from any single discipline”.

They were first featured on the second half of Glasper’s album titled Double Booked in 2009.

In 2012 they released Black Radio, which featured vocals from artists such as Erykah Badu, Bilal, and rappers such as Lupe Fiasco.
