[Verse 1: Sheryl Crow]
I took the blue sky and turned it into rain
I left this town in disarray
The wind keeps blowin' through a skeleton of pain
I got to keep on movin' when no one knows my name

[Chorus: Sheryl Crow & Lukas Nelson]
We're only travelers on this road
I've seen enough to keep me going
Some things are simply not worth noting
I found my peace on Cross Creek Road

[Verse 2: Lukas Nelson]
I heard the whispers of a thousand fire flies
Buzzing around my empty head
I can't remember how it feels to really cry
Over something long ago
If it was real, I just don't know

[Chorus: Sheryl Crow & Lukas Nelson]
We're only travelers on this road
I've seen enough to keep me going
Some things are simply not worth noting
I found my peace on Cross Creek Road

[Bridge: Sheryl Crow & Lukas Nelson, Sheryl Crow]
I drenched your memories once
Take me to a different time
I wanna stay awhile
I wanna see you smile

[Chorus: Sheryl Crow & Lukas Nelson]
We're only travelers on this road
I've seen enough to keep me going
Some things are simply not worth noting
I found my peace on Cross Creek Road
I've seen enough too keep me going
Some things are simply not worth noting
I found my peace on Cross Creek Road
