Featuring: Sam Fischer Leona Lewis

[Intro: Leona Lewis]
What the world needs now is love, sweet love
No, not just for some, but for everyone, mmhmm

[Verse 1: Sam Fischer]
Lord, we don't need another mountain
There are mountains and hillsides enough to climb
There are oceans and rivers enough to cross
Enough to last 'til the end of time

[Chorus: Smokey Robinson, Smokey Robinson & Sam Fischer]
What the world needs now is love, sweet love
That's the only thing that there's just too little of
What the world needs now is love, sweet love
No, not just for some, but for everyone, oh

[Verse 2: Leona Lewis & Sam Fischer]
Lord, we don't need another meadow
There are corn fields and wheat fields enough to grow (Enough to grow)
There are sunbeams and moonbeams enough to shine
Oh, listen, Lord (Listen, Lord)
If You wanna know (If You wanna know)

[Chorus: Leona Lewis, Smokey Robinson & Sam Fischer]
What the world needs now is love, sweet love
That's the only thing that there's just too little of
What the world needs now is love, sweet love
No, not just for some, but for every, everyone
What the world needs now is love, sweet love
It's the only thing (It's the only thing)
That there's just too little of (Oh)
What the world needs now is love, sweet love (We need some love)
No, not just for some, but for everyone

[Outro: Leona Lewis]
Mmhmm-hmm, hmm-hmm
No, not just for some, but for everyone

Smokey Robinson

Arguably the greatest songwriter of the latter half of the 20th century, Robinson’s timeless creations for Motown, both for his own group and for other artists, provided the ultimate example of what a pop song can be. From The Beatles to Bob Dylan, the rest of the 60s followed in his wake

As if that wasn’t enough, he created a whole new genre in the mid-70s with “quiet storm”, a radio format named after one of his songs. He continues writing and performing today.
