Say a little prayer for you
Say a little prayer for you
Well, I remember when
You were my only friend
You took the time
When on one else cared
You gave love endlessly
And then you proved to me
No matter what
You'd always be there
And now I understand
Just how life's little plan
Can make it rough to say 'forever'
But you've been there for me
So that's my guarantee
That we will always be together
When I have sleepless nights
That's when you hold me tight
You do it right
I say a little prayer for you
And when my dreams are through
I only think of you
Cause you do it right
I'll say a little prayer for you
We've had good times that's true
We've had our bad times too
But through it all
It makes us stronger
We'll have to build our trust
Because it means too much
To give away to any other
And now I understand
Just how life's little plan
Can make it rough to say 'forever'
But you've been there for me
So that's my guarantee
That we always be together
Chorus
I say a little prayer for you
Alright
Come on
Say it, say it, say it, say it, say it
Alright
Say a prayer
Alright
Come on
I'll say a little prayer for you
Say it
Come on
I'm prayin'
I'll say a little payer for you
And now I understand
Just how life's little plan
Can make it rough to say 'forever'
But you've been there for me
So that's my guarantee
That we will always be together
I say a little prayer for you
I will
Say a little prayer for you
Chorus
So far away'
Chorus
My baby
My love
