Love is tender, love is very sweet
I'll have you know, love's been good to me
Ever since the day that you came into my life
My sun is shining every day and night

Girl, I never knew this was your first time
A love like yours is hard to find
So when you came my way, I could not pass you by
Had to give your love a try

Turned to me with that look in your eyes
You were so unsure, girl, that you could not decide
And telling me that you were holding inside
You were not a lover but you're willing to try

Some kinda lover you turned out to be
I never knew love could be so sweet
Some kinda lover you turned out to be
Girl, I'm so glad that you saved your love for me

Some kinda love, yeah, baby
Some kinda lover

Girl, I never felt this way before
You fill the need that my heart's been searching for
Together we are truly meant to be
I can feel it when we touch, ooh, it's heavenly

Girl, I never thought that you would be
Waiting for a love to fill your fantasies
Let me be the one to make your dreams come true
Girl, give me your love, I'll do anything for you

Turned to me with that look in your eyes
You were so unsure, girl, that you could not decide
Telling me that you were holding inside
You were not a lover but you're willing to try

Some kinda lover you turned out to be
I never knew love could be so sweet
Some kinda lover you turned out to be
Girl, I'm so glad that you saved your love for me

So glad you saved all of your sweet love for me

Some kinda lover, yeah, baby
Some kinda lover

Turned to me with that look in your eyes
You were so unsure, girl, that you could not decide
Telling me that you were holding inside
You were not a lover but you're willing to try

Some kinda lover you turned out to be
I never knew love could be so sweet
Some kinda lover you turned out to be
Girl, I'm so glad that you saved your love for me

Some kinda lover, yeah, baby
Some kinda lover
Whispers, let me hear you sing the song

Some kinda lover you turned out to be
I never knew love could be so sweet
Some kinda lover you turned out to be
Girl, I'm so glad that you saved your love for me

Some kinda lover you turned out to be
Turned out to be, turned out to be, baby
Some kinda lover you turned out to be
Girl, I'm so glad that you saved your love for me

Some kinda lover you turned out to be
I never knew love could be so sweet
Some kinda lover you turned out to be
Girl, I'm so glad that you saved your love for me

Some kinda lover you turned out to be
You turned me in, you turned me out
You turned me 'round, baby, oh
Some kinda lover you turned out to be...
