Wendy is a South Korean singer-songwriter and member of the K-pop girl group, Red Velvet. Much like her fellow group members, Wendy was also part of the SM Rookies project.

Apart from her group’s projects, Wendy has released many collaborations under the SM Station project. She was also featured on the English version of Latin pop star Ricky Martin’s single, Vente Pa' Ca.

Wendy made her solo debut in 2021 after a year of hiatus with the EP, Like Water. For her solo debut, Wendy chose a pop-ballad sound putting the focus on her vocals.
