[Verse 1]
Pedal, pedal on the gas
You slammed your breaks
Into an avalanche
I don't know why
I don't know why
Interstellar movie night
She came around
And left me hypnotized
I don't know why
(Anymore, anymore)
I don't know why
(Anymore, anymore)

[Chorus]
Your time's up
I hear you
I know
I can't wait
Anymore, anymore
Your time's up
I hear you
I know
I can't wait
Anymore, anymore
Ooh

[Instrumental Interlude]

[Verse 2]
Some stories told, some stories used
So many homes for us to choose
I don't know why
I don't know why
Let them, let them take a sip
Have the underdog controlling it
I had to try
(Anymore, anymore)
I had to try
(Anymore, anymore)

[Bridge]
I don't believe
I will find peace
I'm just as peach [??? 2:33]
I'm just a wrick [??? 2:37]
The whites of your eyes
Have all turned red

[Chorus]
Your time's up
I hear you
I know
I can't wait
Anymore, anymore
Your time's up
I hear you
I know
I can't wait
Anymore, anymore

[Outro]
Anymore, anymore
(Pedal, pedal on the gas)
(You slammed your breaks)
Anymore, anymore
(Into an avalanche)
(I don't know why)
Anymore, anymore
(I had to try)
Anymore, anymore
Ooh

Though best known as a guitarist and keyboardist for The Strokes, Hammond has also been performing periodic solo work since his 2006 debut album Yours To Keep.

Still a member of The Strokes despite the controversy surrounding and following their 2013 album Comedown Machine, Hammond began to gain more traction upon releasing his 2013 AHJ – EP under Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas‘ Cult Records Label.

Though still an official part of his bandmate’s label, he released his 2015 album Momentary Masters through Vagrant Records.
