[Verse 1]
Flashbacks of the times we've had
Some made us laugh, and some made us sad
We used to break up to make up
All the fun that came from those love games
Oh, when I think I need someone new
Child, it just won't do
Because I think about you, baby

[Chorus]
From beginning to end
365 days of the year
I want your same ol' love, baby, yes, you
All I wanna do, is share my life with you
I want your same ol' lovin', darlin'

[Verse 2]
There's a reason that I feel this way
All the things you do
Child, it might be the things that you say
Your love never changes
It's like a picture in a frame, and it remains the same
Your undying love for me, baby, keeps me strong
Keeps me holding on

[Chorus]
From beginning to end
365 days of the year
I want your same ol' lovin', darlin', just you
And all I wanna do, is share my nights with you
I want your same ole lovin', baby

[Bridge]
Yes I do
Sure do love you, baby
Sure do love you

Slowly, love me
All is forsaken
I love this love we're making
'Cause it's truly lovely
I'll never leave you
You know I need you, baby

[Chorus]
From beginning to end
365 days of the year
I want your same ol' lovin', baby, hey, yes I do
From beginning to end
365 days of the year
I want your same ol' lovin', darlin', just you
And all I wanna do, is share my life with you
I want your same ol' lovin', darlin'

[Outro]
Tell you what I want you to do, just (Give me your love)
Give me your love (All of that lovin')
All of that lovin', baby (Give me your love)
Just you, give me what? (Give me your love)
What? (All of that lovin')
All that lovin' (Give me your love)
Sweet sweet baby, that's what I want you to do (Give me your love)
Sweet sure love (All of that lovin')
Okay, baby (Give me your love)
See, what I want you to do (Give me your love)
Give me your love (All of that lovin')
Sweet sweet love (Give me your love)
I, I just want your love (Give me your love)
Real love (All of that lovin')
Sweet sweet love (Give me your love)
Alright (Give me your love)
Sweet sweet love (All of that lovin')
Sweet sweet love (Give me your love)
Yeah
Give me your lovin', give it to me

She started out in the band Chapter 8, which had the hit song “I Just Wanna Be Your Girl” that was later sampled by Bone Thugs-n-Harmony for their hit song “1st of tha Month.” “Anita” went on to become a big name in ‘80s R&B alongside “Luther” and “Whitney” as she began to rack up #1 hits.

Her debut album, The Songstress, was released in 1983 on independent label Beverly Glen and featured the hit song “Angel.” She left Beverly Glen and signed with Elektra Records, releasing her second album Rapture in 1986, which went on to sell over 5 million albums and peaked at #1 on the Billboard R&B Albums chart thanks to the hits “Sweet Love,” “Same Ole Love,” and “Caught Up in the Rapture.”

Her third album, Giving You the Best That I Got, was released in 1988 and hit #1 on the Billboard 200, and the title track hit #1 on both the Billboard R&B and Adult Contemporary Singles charts. Rapture and Giving You the Best That I Got accounted for five of her eight Grammy Awards, with her sixth in that time frame coming from her gospel collaboration with The Winans on the song “Ain’t No Need To Worry” in 1988.
