When we were little children, there used to be a game we would play
Someone would keep their eyes closed while the rest of us would all run away
We slipped behind the shadows, baby, somewhere in the dark we would hide
But love is not a game for children, it's too serious to play with my bride

You can run but you can't hide from my love
You can run but you can't hide from my love

Listen, since wе're no longer children, wе tend to play it safe when we can
Always hiding our emotions, afraid that no one else will understand
We slip between the shadows, baby, somewhere in the dark we still hide
I'm glad I finally found you and I'll be here on the day you decide

You can run but you can't hide from my love
You can run but you can't hide from my lovin'

You got me where you want me, so please don't you disappear
You know that I'm depending on you, baby, so let me make this one thing clear

You can run but you can't hide from love
You can run but you can't hide from love
You can run but you can't hide from my lovin'
You can run but you can't hide from love
