I ran as fast as I could run
Threw off my stilettos trying to get away
I lived in the building that was crumbling
In a desperate loveless ghetto where you don't go out to play

Oh, so now you've found your way through the broken glass and endless days
Discovered where I live
And oh, there must be some divide 'cause you are just in time to save me
From myself

So goodbye, little superstar
So goodbye, you know who you are
So goodbye, little rocking queen
So goodbye, you know what I mean
You know what I mean

My change the bridges that I've crossed
No one would believe me, ran out of kerosene
That day, I knew that I was lost
I was begging for forgiveness and the mirror said to me

Oh, so now you've found your way through the broken glass and endless days
Discovered where I've lived
And oh, there must be some divide because you are just in time to save me
From myself

So goodbye, little superstar
So goodbye, you know who you are
So goodbye, little rocking queen
So goodbye, you know what I mean
You know what I mean
You know what I mean
You know what I mean
You know what I mean
Little superstar
Little superstar

Bonnie Tyler

Bonnie Tyler (born Gaynor Hopkins) was born on June 8, 1951 in Skewen, Wales. She was one of the most famous singers in the 80’s and is known for her noticeably rough and husky vocals.

Her first single, charting at #9 in her home country, “Lost In France,” put her in the public eye. After a bit of silence throughout the late 70s and early 80s, her best-selling and best-performing single on the charts of all time, “Total Eclipse of The Heart,” was released. Her 5th album, Faster Than The Speed of Night, also topped the charts in a few countries possibly because it contained Total Eclipse. Another notable song, “Holding Out for a Hero,” was released one year later for the Footloose soundtrack.

Tyler married Robert Sullivan, an Olympic judo contestant in 1973. They have no children. As of 2018, she is 66 years old and still in good health.
