Yeah, the right thing to do would be to let me down easy
Yeah, the right thing to do would be to just come clean
But since you don't have an honest bone in your body
And you can't seem to tell the truth
I'm gonna have to do it for you

This is gonna hurt
This is gonna ache
This is gonna sting like a bite from a rattle snake
This is gonna burn
This is gonna break just like every promise that you make
Tears are gonna fall, baby, after all is said and done
You better believe
This is gonna hurt you more than it's gonna hurt me

There's a tiny piece of me that feels sorry for you
As I hear your four wheel pull up in my drive
'Cause you have no idea what you're walking in to
Oh, but honey I can't lie
It kind of makes it sweeter

This is gonna hurt
This is gonna ache
This is gonna sting like a bite from a rattle snake
This is gonna burn
This is gonna break just like every promise that you make
Tears are gonna fall, baby, after all is said and done
You better believe
This is gonna hurt you more than it's gonna hurt me

Yeah
Oh yeah

For every ounce of pain I've felt
Boy, you'd better brace yourself

This is gonna hurt
This is gonna ache
This is gonna sting like a bite from a rattle snake
This is gonna burn
This is gonna break just like every promise that you make
Tears are gonna fall, baby, after all is said and done
You better believe
This is gonna hurt you more than
This is gonna hurt you more than it's gonna hurt me

This is gonna hurt you
This is gonna hurt
This is gonna break
This is gonna hurt you
This is gonna hurt you

Bonnie Tyler

Bonnie Tyler (born Gaynor Hopkins) was born on June 8, 1951 in Skewen, Wales. She was one of the most famous singers in the 80’s and is known for her noticeably rough and husky vocals.

Her first single, charting at #9 in her home country, “Lost In France,” put her in the public eye. After a bit of silence throughout the late 70s and early 80s, her best-selling and best-performing single on the charts of all time, “Total Eclipse of The Heart,” was released. Her 5th album, Faster Than The Speed of Night, also topped the charts in a few countries possibly because it contained Total Eclipse. Another notable song, “Holding Out for a Hero,” was released one year later for the Footloose soundtrack.

Tyler married Robert Sullivan, an Olympic judo contestant in 1973. They have no children. As of 2018, she is 66 years old and still in good health.
