[Verse 1]
There's a hunger rising in the air tonight
And I'll burn for you in the morning light
It's been too long, I can't wait no more
Stay home tonight and lock your door

[Refrain]
I need you there beside me, take me in your arms
To feel the wind rush by me, I'm hungrier now than I ever was

[Verse 2]
Like the night we came together, on that fiery starry night
You took my breath from me and you rocked me to my bones
The fire that burned that night still burns deep down inside of me
I'm wilder than I'll ever be, ever be

[Chorus]
Call me thunder in the morning
Call me lightning through the night
Anytime you want me, I'm gonna be there for you
And it'll be that way 'til the day I die, call me thunder

[Verse 3]
There's a place I see in my mind's eye
Young lovers beneath a blood red sky
And we didn't care if the world looked on
'Cause we knew these days would soon be gone

[Refrain]
And the flames grew all around us, as we lit that promised land
I can feel it burning in me and I'm hungrier now than I ever was

[Bridge]
And we'll walk this shore beneath the moon, and lay out in the sand
And when I'm drunk on you and crashed out in the dunes
I'll be that woman now that once brought out the man in you
I'm younger than I'll ever be, ever be

[Chorus]
Call me thunder in the morning
Call me lighting through the night
Anytime you want me, I'm gonna be there for you
And it'll be that way 'til the day I die, call me thunder

[Outro]
Call me thunder in the morning
Call me lighting through the night
Anytime you want me, I'm gonna be there for you
And it'll be that way 'til the day I die
Call me thunder in the morning
Call me lighting through the night
Anytime you want me, I'm gonna be there for you

Bonnie Tyler

Bonnie Tyler (born Gaynor Hopkins) was born on June 8, 1951 in Skewen, Wales. She was one of the most famous singers in the 80’s and is known for her noticeably rough and husky vocals.

Her first single, charting at #9 in her home country, “Lost In France,” put her in the public eye. After a bit of silence throughout the late 70s and early 80s, her best-selling and best-performing single on the charts of all time, “Total Eclipse of The Heart,” was released. Her 5th album, Faster Than The Speed of Night, also topped the charts in a few countries possibly because it contained Total Eclipse. Another notable song, “Holding Out for a Hero,” was released one year later for the Footloose soundtrack.

Tyler married Robert Sullivan, an Olympic judo contestant in 1973. They have no children. As of 2018, she is 66 years old and still in good health.
