[Verse 1]
It's over now, it's in the past
And we've said our goodbyes
What went wrong, I'll never know
I guess we had some good times
You tried to explain it
Oh, let me down slow
How I wish I could change it
I can't help it, these feelings just won't let go

[Chorus]
When the night closes in
And the heartache begins
Just remember I'm only guilty of loving you

[Verse 2]
I wish the rain would go away
From outside my window
Each passing day, it reminds me
Of how much I've missed you
Since you said you were leavin'
Oh, I'm so empty inside
I refused to believe it
If only we could be together again

[Chorus]
When the night closes in
And the heartache begins
Just remember I'm only guilty of loving you

[Instrumental Bridge]

[Chorus]
When the night closes in
And the heartache, heartache begins
Just remember I'm only guilty of loving you
When the night closes in
And the heartache, oh, begins
Just remember I'm only guilty of loving you

Bonnie Tyler

Bonnie Tyler (born Gaynor Hopkins) was born on June 8, 1951 in Skewen, Wales. She was one of the most famous singers in the 80’s and is known for her noticeably rough and husky vocals.

Her first single, charting at #9 in her home country, “Lost In France,” put her in the public eye. After a bit of silence throughout the late 70s and early 80s, her best-selling and best-performing single on the charts of all time, “Total Eclipse of The Heart,” was released. Her 5th album, Faster Than The Speed of Night, also topped the charts in a few countries possibly because it contained Total Eclipse. Another notable song, “Holding Out for a Hero,” was released one year later for the Footloose soundtrack.

Tyler married Robert Sullivan, an Olympic judo contestant in 1973. They have no children. As of 2018, she is 66 years old and still in good health.
