[Verse 1]
I know that your heart has been so heavy lately
Trying to find peace of mind
Thinkin' 'bout him all the time
You've got to clear those guilty feelings lady
Gave him everything you had
That's no cause for feeling bad

[Pre-Chorus]
Girl I know you
You're too strong to
Let a man who don't understand
Turn it around on you
So don't take
All the weight
You can still be who you want to be
If you have it in your heart

[Chorus]
Know what you want
Don't let him break your heart
Don't let him trick you into
Thinking that it's all your fault
'Cause you've got a right, baby
To want to love
Who will be anything and everything
Anytime you want

[Verse 2]
I understand your frustrations lady
You've been there far too long
For him to ever to treat you wrong
Now you've gotta learn to live for you lady
Let your mind be inspiration now
'Cause your heart alone won't do

[Pre-Chorus]
Girl I know you
You're too strong to
Let a man who don't understand
Turn it around on you
So don't take
All the weight
You can still be who you want to be
If you have it in your heart

[Chorus]
Know what you want
Don't let him break your heart
Don't let him trick you into
Thinking that it's all your fault
'Cause you've got a right, baby
To want to love
Who will be anything and everything
Anytime you want

[Bridge]
Baby it's no how and no way
I'll never make your heart break
Never let you go astray
Girl you deserve the very best
That love has to give
I won't put up a fight
I'll do everything right
As long as I live
I'll give all I can give

[Chorus]
Know what you want
Don't let him break your heart
Don't let him trick you into
Thinking that it's all your fault
'Cause you've got a right, baby
To want to love
Who will be anything and everything
Anytime you want
Know what you want
Don't let him break your heart
Don't let him trick you into
Thinking that it's all your fault
'Cause you've got a right, baby
To want to love
Who will be anything and everything
Anytime you want

[Outro]
Hold on tight and be strong babe
Cause I know you can make it

Boyz II Men

Boyz II Men is an R&B vocal quartet from Philadelphia who became the most successful pop group of the 1990s. They’re best known for their passionate ballads, including the number one hits “End of The Road,” “On Bended Knee,” and “I’ll Make Love To You.”

An early version of the group was founded by Nathan Morris in the mid 1980s while attending the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts, where he recruited students Wanya Morris, Shawn Stockman, and Michael McCary. Singer Marc Nelson was also an early member, but left the group before their big break.

The group—who took its name from New Edition’s song “Boys To Men”—was discovered in 1988 after auditioning for New Edition’s Michael Bivins backstage at a concert. Bivins signed the group to his management company and secured them a contract with Motown Records.
