[Spoken]
So, quick recap, got your Rocky, got your classical, got your jazz
So now I'm thinking I'm a big man
I'm like 13, 14, 15 years old
I'm like, "Yeah, I could play, yeah, that's right"
So here comes my mother, she's like, "Oh, so you could play now, huh?"
I was like, "YEAH, YEAH, I could play"
She's like, "Oh, that's great, see, now you can come with me to play at all the churches I play with around town, every church"
So what you find is you sitting there and all, "Oh, oh, Lord, oh, have mercy on..."
And I'm like, "I don't know this song"
My mother's over there, she's like, "Play, play"
I'm like, "I don't know this song"
She's like, "They all the same"
So I had to learn how to play gospel music on the fly, like this
