[Intro]
Ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh
Ooh-ooh-ooh

[Verse 1]
I love dominantly
You make me weak, make me thirsty for release
Wan', come compliment me
Then become my enemy
Cop a flight to Paris, low key
It's you, baby girl, I'm tryna to breed, please
Baby, try to understand me
I'm not a monster, I'm just a man with needs
I take flights when I learn it's time to go
Tryna take time back crossing timing zones
Come press your lips 'pon me
LSD got me feelin' empathy
Wan fi' alter the mind chemically
'Cause we suffer endlessly
Could be Kamikaze, only time will tell
Even though I'm godly, might end up in Hell

[Chorus]
Sweet melody, wine up yuh body 'pon mi
Yuh lovin' baby girl, you know mi need it, need it
Let me fight for it, mi achieve it, 'chieve it
Sweet melody, wine up yuh body 'pon mi
Yuh lovin' baby girl, you know mi need it, need it
Let me fight for it, mi achieve it, 'chieve it

[Post-Chorus]
Feel my love drip over your skin
Rich dark chocolate, sweet melanin
Forevermore you gon' be my kin
Whatever Jah has binded, let no man enter in

[Interlude]
Ohh, ohh

[Verse 2]
Give me your love, it's unrequited
The thought of you gets me excited
I guess I'll come to your crib, uninvited
A few of your favorite vices, girl I know you like it
Girl, you came through like
You light up my life, you’re like
Danny be good? That's unlikely
But Jah be comin' down, yeah
He turned my life around, yes

[Chorus]
Sweet melody, wine up yuh body 'pon (Mi)
Yuh lovin' baby girl, you know mi need it, need it
Let me fight for it, mi achieve it, 'chieve it
Sweet melody, wine up yuh body 'pon (Mi)
Yuh lovin' baby girl, you know mi need it, need it
Let me fight for it, mi achieve it, 'chieve it

[Post-Chorus]
Feel my love drip over your skin
Rich dark chocolate, sweet melanin
Forevermore you gon' be my kin
Whatever Jah has binded, let no man enter in

[Outro]
Ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh

Daniel Caesar

The world has come to understand R&B/Soul music as a multi-faceted genre that transcends soundwaves into the inner core of our existence — a genre that makes listeners feel, rather than just hear. For Toronto native, Ashton Simmonds, who performs under the stage name, Daniel Caesar (born April 5, 1995), the R&B/Soul genre serves as a skeleton to which he builds up with jarring gospel undertones, heart-tugging guitar chords, and soothing harmonious vocals.

His sophomore effort, Praise Break, successfully captured the attention of many major publications and outlets and was ranked 19th in the 20 Best R&B Albums of 2014 by Rolling Stone Magazine. Caesar’s follow-up project, Pilgrim’s Paradise, was met with even greater praise, subsequently capturing the attention of both the Canadian and international music markets.

On August 25, 2017, Daniel released his debut album, Freudian, which followed the release of “We Find Love” and “Blessed,” and contains hit songs, “Best Part” and “Get You.” In 2018, Freudian was nominated for Best R&B Album at the Grammys.
