Baby, don't you do it, don't do it
Don't you break my heart
Please don't do it
Don't you break my heart

Yeah I sacrificed to make you happy
Kept nothin' to myself
Now you're gonna love me
Along with someone else
My pride is all gone
Whether It's right or wrong
Yeah I need ya baby
To keep on keepin' on
You know I' tryin' to do my best
I tried to do my best

Don't do it
Don't you break my heart
Please don't do it
Don't you break my heart

Yeah my biggest mistake was lovin' you too much
And lettin' ya know
Now you got me where you want me
You won't let me go
If my heart was made of glass
Then you would surely see
The heartache and misery
Girl you're causin' me
But I've been tryin' to do my best
I've been tryin' to do my best

Don't do it
Don't you break my heart
Please don't do it
Don't you break my heart

Yeah I go down to the river
And there I'll be
I'm gonna jump in, girl
And just don't care about me
Won't you open up your eyes
And can't you see I love ya?
Yeah open up your heart, girl
Can't you see I need ya?
Yeah I've been tryin' to do my best
I've been tryin' to do my best

Don't do it
Don't you break my heart
Please don't do it
Don't you break my heart

Hold on the drums right here

Yeah my biggest mistake was lovin' you too much
And lettin' ya know
Now you got me where you want me
And I just gotta know
If my heart was made of glass
You could surely see
How much heartache and misery
It has been causin' me
Yeah and I've been tryin' to do my best
I've been tryin' to do my best

Don't do it
Don't you break my heart
Please don't do it
Don't you break my heart

Now take us home now

Alright break it down a little
Bring it on down now

Yeah baby don't you do it
Don't you break my heart
Please don't do it
Don't you break my heart

Keep on goin' on now

Don't do it
Don't you break my heart
Please don't do it
Don't you break my heart

One more time

Baby don't you do it
Don't you break my heart
Please don't do it
Don't you break my heart

Eric Church

Eric Church is an American country music singer-songwriter from Granite Falls, North Carolina. After graduating from Appalachian State University with a business degree in 2000, Eric became engaged to a Spanish teacher from Lenior, NC whose father attempted to deter his musical aspirations by offering him a corporate career in Denver. After turning down her father’s offer, Church’s ex-fiance broke the engagement, giving Church motivation to move to Nashville and begin focusing solely on his music. Recollections of this turning point in Church’s life are heard throughout his lyrical portfolio (most prominently in “Those I’ve Loved”).

After a period of being overlooked by record labels and producers, Church was eventually signed to Capitol Records in 2006, making his debut with the album, Sinners Like Me. The album produced four singles on the Billboard Country Chart, “How ‘Bout You,” “Two Pink Lines,” “Guys Like Me,” and the album’s title track.

His second album, 2009’s Carolina, produced three more “Smoke a Little Smoke,” “Love Your Love the Most,” and “Hell on the Heart.”
