[Verse 1]
Every night I've been on my own
I dream of you and coming home
Those empty hours spent missing you
Are over now did what I had to

[Chorus]
I live from day to day
Trying to find my way
Now I need to know you care
Will you still be there?
Because I'll be home tonight
Tell me you will be waiting
It's been way too long
You've been on my mind
And my heart has been aching
Ever since I've been gone
So turn on the light
Because I'll be home tonight

[Verse 2]
It's hard to face the fear inside
Wondering how we both survive
The desperate times we made it through
Now in the end I'm coming back to you

[Chorus]

[Outro]
I'll be home tonight, tonight
(I'll be home)
Cause I'll be home tonight
Tell me you will be waiting
It's been way too long
You've been on my mind
And my heart has been aching
Ever since I've been gone
I'll be home tonight[x2]
[fade out]

Foreigner

The name of the band Foreigner was chosen because half of the original members were from England, and the other half from the U.S. The group had quite a few people join and leave, but one of the originals, Mick Jones, (not Mick Jagger) stayed the whole time. Foreigner celebrated their 40th anniversary in 2017, with Mick still there.
