Glenn Frey

Glenn Lewis Frey (November 6, 1948 – January 18, 2016) was an American singer, songwriter, and actor from Detroit, Michigan. Frey was a founding member of the rock band Eagles, acting as co-lead singer and frontman along with Don Henley. Frey played guitar and keyboards as well as sang lead vocals on songs including “Take It Easy”, “Peaceful Easy Feeling”, and “Tequila Sunrise”, among others. Frey had a successful solo career during the Eagles‘ hiatus from 1980 to 1994. He released his debut solo album, No Fun Aloud in 1982, and the album was certified Gold by the RIAA. Frey won six Grammy Awards and five American Music Awards as a member of the Eagles, and he was inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the Eagles in 1998.
