I look outside and I see it's rainin'
Still, it feels like a sunny day
And I see you lyin' here beside me
You're the reason that I feel this way

I was livin' in the heart of darkness
Now I'm happy as a man can be
Every day I have to ask myself
"What's come over me?"

Ain't it love that makes you wanna sing
Ain't it love that makes your heart bell ring
Ain't it love, ain't it love shinin' down from up above
Ain't it love

I feel my heart is finally out of danger
In the safety of your warm embrace
I feel like helping out a total stranger
I want to make the world a better place

Everybody knows this world's in trouble
People think there's nothing they can do
Now I feel like I can make a difference
Just by lovin' you

Ain't it love that makes you wanna try
Ain't it love that makes you reach so high
Ain't it love, ain't it love shinin' down from up above
Ain't it love

They say that love is blind
They say that love is cruel
Makes a woman cry
Make a man a fool

But I say love's a word
That's so misunderstood
If you ain't had it bad
Then you ain't had it good

Now I'm walkin' down a different highway
Goin' where I never thought I'd go
All my life I tried to do things my way
That was yesterday, and now I know

Everything happens for a reason
It's so much bigger, girl, than you and me
We were meant to be a part of this
It's our destiny

Ain't it love that makes you wanna sing
Ain't it love? It changes everything
Ain't it love, ain't it love, shinin' down from up above
Ain't it love
Ain't it love
