[Verse: Jerry Lee Lewis]
1495 to 1948
I threw a rock 'n' roll party on my last birthday
But it's good, rockin' my life away
I'm just movin' and groovin' and I'm doin' it both night and day

[Verse: Kid Rock]
I got a gal called Nelly, she's chilli pepper hot
She knows how to roll, the Killer, she know how to rock
I'm rockin', rockin' my life away
Ooh, I like to boogie-woogie baby, like to do it both night and day
Ay, ay, ow!

[Verse: Jerry Lee Lewis & Kid Rock, Kid Rock]
Stream light, fleet light, military brat
She know's the general's daughter but the Killer's top brats
I'm rockin', rockin' my life away
Ayy, ayy, I'm just a movin' and movin' and rockin' both night and day
Come on, Slash!

[Instrumental: Slash]
(Woo-hoo!)

[Verse: Jerry Lee Lewis, Kid Rock]
(todo; am deaf)
And I'm rockin' (rock, rock, y'all!)
Rockin' my life away! (yeah, a-rock, rock, y'all!)
I'm just movin' and groovin' and boogie both night and day

[Outro: Jerry Lee Lewis & Kid Rock, Jerry Lee Lewis]
I'm just rockin, rockin my life away
I'm just rockin, rollin my life away
My name is Jerry Lee Lewis, and I'm damn sure here to stay

Jerry Lee Lewis

Jerry Lee Lewis was a leading figure in the popularization of rock & roll during the 1950s. He was first signed to Sun Records in 1956 where he was labelmates with Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, and other early rock artists. Of those musicians, however, he was the only piano player and combined with his heavy-handed playing style, sexually suggestive lyrics, and provocative stage antics he came to epitomize the rebelliousness of the genre.

He rose to international fame for his 1957 versions of the songs “Great Balls of Fire” and “Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On.”

Lewis' popularity rapidly tumbled, however, when in 1958, when at the age of 22, he married his 13-year-old cousin. Though this scandal continued to tarnish his image, Lewis never retired from music. As of October 2015, he continues to perform live.
