[Verse 1]
Lately, I've been thinking about just loving you
And all the things that we used to do
I'm wishing now we could have stayed together
'Cause now I know I'll never find anyone better than you
And I'm knowin' that you're moving on and stuff
Still finding myself missin' you so much
One kiss, find myself dreamin' 'bout it
Please, won't you think about it?
To make it better, how 'bout we just…

[Chorus]
Make believe you and me are together again?
Let's just pretend, baby, can we make believe?
And go back to being more than just friends
Can we make believe you and me together again?
Let's just pretend that we're more than just friends
Let's make me believe that we never said it's over
Just for one moment, can we make believe?

[Verse 2]
Baby. I've been wishin' things were still the same
Been missin' how you used to say my name
And two-way kisses, oh
I'm missing how you used to tell me I was beautiful
If it's just one day, lets just say
You forget about your girl, I forget about my man
It's easy, baby, let's make believe

[Chorus]
Make believe you and me are together again?
Let's just pretend, baby, can we make believe?
And go back to being more than just friends
Can we make believe you and me together again?
Let's just pretend that we're more than just friends
Let's make me believe that we never said it's over
Just for one moment, can we make believe?

[Bridge]
Just close your eyes and forget about separating
Just one last kiss, I'm waitin', anticipatin'
And don't act like you would mind
Just one more time, put her in the back of your mind
And make believe with me

[Chorus]
Make believe you and me are together again?
Let's just pretend, baby, can we make believe?
And go back to being more than just friends
Can we make believe you and me together again?
Let's just pretend that we're more than just friends
Let's make me believe that we never said it's over
Just for one moment, can we make believe?

Jhené Aiko

Jhené Aiko Efuru Chilombo (born March 16, 1988) started her career under the moniker Jhené Aiko when she was 13 with the music group B2K. She explained how she later opted out of the deal to go back to high school and have her daughter Namiko in an interview back in July 2012 with Lozza

I was signed with Sony/EPIC when I was 12 years old and got a release from them when I was about 15 or 16 to focus on school. I started writing more and I had a child who’s now three years old.

After the failed release of her debut album, My Name Is Jhené back in 2003, Jhené released her debut mixtape, Sailing Soul(s) on March 16, 2011.
