[Chorus: Jhené Aiko]
On nights like this, I ride
Turn the music up to keep from cryin'
Wait 'til the sunshine
Please don't let the darkness keep me low
Halfway to the home base, yeah
Like a field trip, woah
It's a real trip

[Verse 1: Jhené Aiko]
In over your head
It's a guilt trip, yeah
To the south side, wow
It's a real trip
It's not a quick trip
It stays wit' ya, wit' ya
Love tax is high
It's a real trip

[Chorus: Jhené Aiko]
On nights like this, I ride
Turn the music up to keep from cryin'
Wait 'til the sunshine
Please don't let the darkness keep me low
Halfway to the home base, yeah
Like a field trip, woah
It's a real trip

[Post-Chorus: Jhené Aiko & Mali Music]
I'm askin', "Who can save me?"
You can't, baby
You can't, baby
Who can save me?
Know that you can, baby
You could, baby
We'll be ridin' tryna conquer the world, but darlin'
You can't change it
You can't change it
Ridin' on, you know that you can't last
They askin', "Who can save me?"
Who can save me?
Who can save me?
Know that you can, baby
Know that you can
Na-na-na-na-na
Love pays, yeah
But love taxes, oh
It's a real trip

[Chorus: Jhené Aiko]
On nights like this, I ride
Turn the music up to keep from crying
Wait 'til the sunshine
Please don't let the darkness keep me low
Halfway to the home base, yeah
Like a field trip, woah
It's a real trip

[Verse 3: Mali Music]
In over your head
It's a guilt trip, whoa
To the north side
It's a real trip
It's not a quick trip
It's stays wit' ya, wit' ya, whoa
Love tax is high
It's a real trip, baby

Jhené Aiko

Jhené Aiko Efuru Chilombo (born March 16, 1988) started her career under the moniker Jhené Aiko when she was 13 with the music group B2K. She explained how she later opted out of the deal to go back to high school and have her daughter Namiko in an interview back in July 2012 with Lozza

I was signed with Sony/EPIC when I was 12 years old and got a release from them when I was about 15 or 16 to focus on school. I started writing more and I had a child who’s now three years old.

After the failed release of her debut album, My Name Is Jhené back in 2003, Jhené released her debut mixtape, Sailing Soul(s) on March 16, 2011.
