[Intro]
Wrap me up in your love, wrap me up in your love
Wrap me up in your love this Christmas
Wrap me up in your love

[Verse 1]
Let's enjoy the holiday, be here and now, this time and place
Laughter while the children play
These memories, they'll never fade
Let them open every gift, and while they do, we'll sneak a kiss
And, baby, when the day is through, my only gift is you

[Chorus 1]
Wrap me up in your love this Christmas
Wrap me up in your love
You've been at the top of my wish list
Hoping I've been good enough
(This season, you're my reason)
Oh, you know just what I want, yeah
(Both giving, both receiving)
So wrap me up in your love

[Verse 2]
Ayy, we don't need no mistletoe
I'll kiss you, love, everywhere you go
There's nothing left here but the tree
The fireplace, and you and me
We'll pour another glass of wine
It's almost midnight, this is our time
And we won't even feel the cold, we can let it snow

[Chorus 2]
Wrap me up in your love this Christmas, wrap me up in your love
You've been at the top of my wish list
Hoping I've been good enough
(This season, you're my reason)
You're the only one I want, yeah
(Both giving, both receiving)
So wrap me up in your love
(Oh, this season, you're my reason)
Oh, you're the only one I want, yeah
(Both giving, both receiving)
So wrap me up in your love

[Bridge]
Look out at the window
It's a snow globe, baby, shake it, can you shake it?
Light a candle, let the fire glow, and I'll hold you close
(I'll hold you close)

[Outro]
Yeah, wrap me up in your love
(Wrap me up in your love)
Yeah, wrap me up in your love
Oh, wrap me up in your love, oh
Wrap me up in your love this Christmas, wrap me up in your love
Wrap me up in your love, yeah

John Legend

John Legend was born in 1978 in Ohio. He became an in-demand session musician and songwriter, working with such artists as Alicia Keys, Twista and Janet Jackson. He was soon introduced to up-and-coming hip-hop artist Kanye West, and the two musicians collaborated on one another’s demos.

J. Ivy claims credit for bestowing the “Legend” moniker upon John Stephens (with an assist from Kanye West). Via

Kanye was like, ‘Have you heard of this singer called John Stephens?’ He played me this song from him, that I think will.i.am produced. It was so refreshing and soulful. An hour later, John Stephens comes into the studio. I told him, ‘I heard your music. It’s so amazing. It sounds old school. Man, you sound like one of the legends. You’re a legend. Matter of fact, that’s what I am going to call you from now The Legend. A couple days later, we were in the lounge of the studio (Record Plant) and John Stephens walks in and everyone shouts him out. I was like, ‘John Legend!’ Kanye then said, ‘You’re John Legend from now on. That’s your name!’”
