[Verse 1]
Don't know where I'm going, but I know I'm always rushing
I never get there, and I forget where I've been
So stressed out on the daily, it is quite the shit-storm
All the psycho voices always yelling at me in my head

[Pre-Chorus]
I'm over the drama
I'm moving to a distant island
Where I'll sleep all day
If I want to

[Chorus]
I'll grow some potatoes and flowers
Then I'll make sandcastles, then I'll eat some cake
'Cause I want to
La-di-da-di-da
'Cause I want to
La-di-da-di-da

[Verse 2]
Living in this world's like watching one big infomercial
There's useless information clogging up my little brain
I used to think my Gucci bag meant my shit was together
But now I see growing up's a game that I don't wanna play
No, no

[Pre-Chorus]
I'm over adulthood
I'm throwing all my big girl panties
In the garbage can
'Cause I can

[Chorus]
I'll be out riding my pony until it's time for candy
And I'll be naked because I want to
La-di-da-di-da
'Cause I want to
La-di-da-di-da

[Bridge]
What would you do if you could do
Anything in the world that you wanted to?
What makes you happy? Do what you wanna do
Ain't nobody stopping you

[Chorus]
Go grow some potatoes and flowers
Then go make sandcastles, then go eat some cake
If you want to ('Cause I want to)

[Outro]
What would you do if you could do (La-di-da-di-da)
Anything in the world that you wanted to? ('Cause I want to)
What makes you happy? Do what you wanna do
Ain't nobody stopping you ('Cause I want to)
What would you do if you could do (La-da-da, do what I want)
Anything in the world that you wanted to? ('Cause I want to)
What makes you happy? Do what you wanna do (La-di-da-di-da)
Ain't nobody stopping you ('Cause I want to)

Kesha

Kesha Rose Sebert, whose mononymous stage name was previously spelled Ke$ha, is an American singer-songwriter best known for hits like “Tik Tok” and “Praying.” Her mother, Pebe Sebert is also a songwriter, and the two have worked together on songs like “Learn to Let Go.”

In 2005, at age eighteen, Kesha signed a record deal with Dr. Luke’s Kemosabe Records. Her first major recording was an uncredited feature on Flo Rida’s 2009 hit “Right ‘Round,” which she recorded after walking into a session between Flo and Dr. Luke. She released her debut album, Animal, the next year, after choosing from hundreds of songs, and the record debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Lead single “Tik Tok” broke the record for the longest time for a female artist’s debut single to top the Billboard Hot 100.

Nine months after Animal dropped, Kesha rereleased it alongside Cannibal, an extended play featuring hits like “We R Who We R,” which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and “Blow.” In February 2011, Kesha kicked off her Get Sleazy Tour, which travelled through the Americas, Europe, and Australia. During the tour, she began writing for her sophomore album, Warrior, which was released in November 2012. She then embarked on a world tour, and was joined by future “Timber” collaborator Pitbull on the North American leg.
