[Verse 1]
Run away nowhere
To chicken shit, two face
I'm gonna go there
The fear I cannot taste
You think you got me?
You're gonna tumble down
Keep coming for me
I'll drop you on the ground
I fuck with no one
Until you get into my face

[Chorus]
Break you down, mercy, I cannot allow!
Through your face, my fist will plow!
Watching as your blood pours down!
Let's do this now!
Break you down, mercy, I cannot allow!
Through your face, my fist will plow!
Watching as your blood pours down!
Let's do this now!

[Verse 2]
You're gonna feel how
I really am with you
You're going nowhere
Don't really know what to do
It's going to go on
Until you run away
You can't control me
You best do it my way
I fuck with no one
Until you get into my face

[Chorus]
Break you down, mercy, I cannot allow!
Through your face, my fist will plow!
Watching as your blood pours down!
Let's do this now!
Break you down, mercy, I cannot allow!
Through your face, my fist will plow!
Watching as your blood pours down!
Let's do this now!

[Bridge]
Don't you know that you can punch me?
Don't you know that you can bring me down?
Oh, my life would be so easy now
If you hadn't stepped across that line!
Line!

[Chorus]
Break you down, mercy, I cannot allow!
Through your face, my fist will plow!
Watching as your blood pours down!
Let's do this now!
Break you down, mercy, I cannot allow!
Through your face, my fist will plow!
Watching as your blood pours down!
Let's do this now!
Break you down, mercy, I cannot allow!
Through your face, my fist will plow!
Watching as your blood pours down!
Let's do this now!
Break you down, mercy, I cannot allow!
Through your face, my fist will plow!
Watching as your blood pours down!
Let's do this now!

Bakersfield friends James “Munky” Shaffer, Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu and David Silveria formed the funk-rock band LAPD in 1989 and moved to Los Angeles with another friend Brian “Head” Welch as their roadie. Later, with Welch as second guitarist, the band named themselves Creep and recorded a demo with pal Ross Robinson.

However, when Shaffer and Welch visited family in Bakersfield, they met Jonathan Davis who added a darker, goth-tinged edge to the band’s heavy groove. Robinson

The band wasn’t dark yet; it had, like, killer grooves and good riffs, but there was some happy edge to it. And when (Davis) walked into the room, it went dark and goth. Basically, during the first song, to audition in the rehearsal room, he started freaking the hell out [laughs]. You couldn’t hear his voice, but you felt chills all over your body, and it was instantly like, “Oh my God, yeah – he’s the one.”
